Effective August 4, the 7-11 ticket vendors located at Manassas (9407 Grant Ave) and Leeland Road (327 Deacon Rd) will no longer sell VRE tickets.

Passengers enrolled in the SmartBenefits program must amend their allocations to an another vendor location or VRE Mobile. (https://www.vre.org/service/vre-mobile/)

As a reminder, changes to SmartBenefit allocations must be made by the 21st of the month. Passengers who have allocated their SmartBenefits to the Manassas and Leeland Rd 7-11 vendor locations for August will have until 9am on August 4 to pick up their August tickets.

Passengers needing assistance with their SmartBenefits allocation are encouraged to contact our office between 7am–7pm at (800) 743-3873.

-328 departs Broad Run at 6:16 a.m.
-332 departs Broad Run at 8:01 a.m.

Afternoon and Evening VRE Service Update

Fredericksburg trains 301, 303, 305, 309 and 315 will NOT operate.

Manassas trains 325, 327, 329, 333 and 337 will NOT operate.

VRE trains will originate this evening in L'Enfant.

Only the following trains will operate:

FBG 307 will depart LEF at 4:08pm

MSS 331 will depart LEF at 5:18pm

FBG 311 will depart LEF at 5:28pm

MSS 335 will depart LEF at 6:08pm

FBG 313 will depart LEF at 6:18pm

Last opportunity for passengers to go south will be 335 and 313

April marks the 5 Year Anniversary of DESTINATION STATION! Although we are going through the pains of a pandemic, we are blessed to be able to assist passengers and customers get through their work day and help them with their travel plans! We expect business to pick up as the weeks pass but for now we will enjoy a successful 5 years in operation and pray that our customers are staying safe!

Yesterday's addition of Fredericksburg Line train 300 to the morning line up gives riders ample space to social distance, with less than 25% of available seats taken. As VA enters Phase 3 today, VRE will continue to run a “S” schedule and employ measures to protect riders’ health/safety. They include requiring facial coverings, encouraging social distancing, using enhanced cleaning practices, and recommending the use of VRE Mobile.

Reminder, in accordance with the Governor's Executive Order, face coverings are required on VRE trains and station platforms. We appreciate your compliance with this requirement until the order is lifted.

VRE continues to operate an "S" schedule until further notice. Only the trains on the schedule marked with an "S" will operate.

Travel is starting to ramp up in Northern Virginia/DC so we will be increasing our Hours of Operation. Next week we will be OPEN on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00 am until 7:00 pm. VRE is currently still utilizing the "S-Schedule" for trains. The week of June 22-26 we plan on being OPEN Monday through Friday. Thanks for your patience as we slowly increase our Service times!

Although we are working on a very limited schedule (Wednesdays from 7am to 7pm) due to the downturn in commuters, Destination Station is still available to serve Virginia Railway Express and Greyhound commuters!

VRE continues to operate an "S" schedule today. Only trains marked with an "S" on our schedule (www.vre.org/service/schedule) will operate. The following Amtrak Step-Up trains are back in service: 174, 94, 95, 125, 176, 171.

VRE's Alexandria HQ is closed to visitors. Customer service staff are handling phone calls from remote locations. Call us at 703-684-1001 and we will do our best to respond to your request.

We will send reminders of the reduced service through our normal channels on a daily basis.

Due to COVID-19, the Hours of Operation for Destination Station are tentative! Although business is terribly slow, we remain open because of the obligation we have to VRE passengers who use the commuter service as a necessary means of transportation to get to their essential employment. Please be patient as we adjust our hours to best serve our employees and customers.

During the Quarantine period, Destination Station will remain OPEN to serve the essential personnel VRE commuters. We are available for TIcket Sales and the Monthly Smart Benefit subsidized accounts. However we will not be serving Sandwiches or Pastries to minimize contact with customers. We will be serving ready to packaged items and beverages and provide fresh brewed Coffee Service. Thank you!
