Nose : Citrus fruit, Caramel, Turns darker with plenty of barrel funk. Turning lovely, Dark chocolate.

Palate : Chocolate, Peanut brittle, Lovely layers. Floral, delicate, Yet still poled.
A touch of anise on the back end. Honey, Layered, Wonderful.

Whiskey Raffle 2023-2024

Allocated/Rare Bourbon Raffle

This is the biggest raffle in LJ history!!! We are excited to announce details for this year's raffle for Pappy Van Winkle's Family, BTAC and many more highly allocated whiskeys. Over 250 of these rare/allocated bottles of whiskey will be available!! We will add more bottles to this list as they become available in next 30 days.

Whiskey bottles will be split in two raffle groups. The bottles per group are listed below.

HOW TO ENTER IN THE RAFFLE:

1. 3 punches --> 1 Raffle entry

2. The customers can get one raffle entry by walking in at all stores starting 12/07/2023(Thursday). One entry per customer limit on this. Please ask for paper entry to one of the store employees. Duplicate entries will be removed.

Key Dates:

Raffle End Date January 22, 2024 at 9pm.

Jan 29th and 30th 2024, winners will be picked and contacted by phone for both groups.

Details:

- Multiples entries are allowed. No limit on raffle entries using punches.
- You can enter in one or both groups' raffle.
- Punches used for raffle entry cannot be reused in the future

The second release in The Macallan's A Night On Earth series, following 2022's A Night On Earth In Scotland, The Journey is the newest limited edition bottling released to celebrate the joy of New Year - a time when we gather to acknowledge the days gone by and make plans for the future.

A special bottling made for sharing, The Journey represents the different stages of the journey to reunite with our loved ones across the festive period, and those unique moments around the world when we come together. The liquid itself has been aged in a perfectly balanced combination of first-fill American ex-bourbon barrels and European and American oak sherry casks before being bottled at 43% abv.

Aromas of toasted oak, creamy steamed rice, coconut milk pudding, citrus fruits, vanilla and oak biscuits arrive on the nose, before a palate bursting with effervescent citrus fruits. Lemon and lime, sweet vanilla and toasted coconut follow all the way to a sweet, oaky finish.

David Hale, a renowned tattoo artist descending from Basil Hayden, designed the phoenix and antique lettering for the label. Resergens rye is the primary whiskey style that ASW is producing on their stills.

Nose: Perfumery notes abound, bright florals and citrus tones provide effervescent heft. Linen and herbal tea notes are a strong springboard for leaping into a sip.

LJ ASW Fiddler Heartwood Barrel # 116

Abv 58.1 %

Nose: A thick maple syrup nose-feel is the opening greeting. It has heavy wood and presents well aged. This is the best aroma we smelled all day here with cinnamon funk, maple sugar, banana foster, and confectioners sugar dancing in the glass.

Palate: Hersheys chocolate, barrel funk and cinnamon hots immediately sing. This carries a nice spice component that dances off the sweet portions. This is liquid candy with a long finish.

LJ ASW Fiddler Georgia Heartwood Barrel # 153

Abv 58.9%

Nose: Orange peel and other classic MGP tones that come across floral, clean and bright.

Palate: Cherry skins, plum, raisin, orange peel all come together in a sweet old fashioned profile. This is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

This was the oldest yet 53 gallon barrel released at 6 years & 9 months. Only the 2nd ever 53 gallon SiB pick that KC has done.

Nose: Balanced. Floral. Chocolate. Coffee bean. Summer camp. Ice cream shop. Delicate. Swirling the glass opens things nicely. Vanilla bean ice cream. Some unpeated, oily, viscous Islay character. Very fun.

Palate: Zesty punch. Orange creamsicle.

(Coats the tongue well and releases bready tones like a warm dinner roll. Long lingering finish. Creamy theougg and through.)

LJ Pinhook Bourbon Barrel Proof 8 yr 2P

8 year old 57.5% ABV

After tasting many bottles of pinhook at different ages it apparent how well they age and at 8 years old this barrel really shines The color leans more to the orange and yellow side of the spectrum hiding its true age. The nose shows various fruits ranging from orange blossom to hints of maraschino cherries. The palate has a fair amount of structure and tannins from its long maturation. The flavor profile shows beautiful notes of vanilla syrup, fresh citrus and peppery oak. As the bourbon sits in the glass raw honey notes develop and harmonize with the dry oak. A wonderful mature whiskey!

Very short Kentucky trip with fun group of whiskey enthusiasts produced one of the best Four Roses barrels that we have ever picked.

The group happened to pick same recipe OBSK as the last one(blind tasting). It was the youngest in the batch of 10 barrels tasted. However it had been housed at the top of the Rick house at highest level 6. It will be one of highest proof Four roses that we have ever picked around 125 proof.

Potentially this should be available for hold on LJ whiskey site before Christmas.

First time picking Starlight sherry cask finish. I tried it in their gift gift shop during the first visit and every since wanted to have similar barrel. Last visit, we found a barrel that we were searching for….

LJ/MBA Starlight Bourbon sherry cask finish

112.2 proof

Price : $74.99

Just one quick nosing and the sherry pops. This has to be the best single barrel of starlight we have done here at the Liquor Junction. On the nose deep powerful notes of dried fruit and Vanilla jump out of the glass. The palate is drier then the nose suggests with the sherry taking a back seat to starlight's classical bourbon notes of butterscotch, baking spices and toasted oak. The finish is long and harmonious mirroring the nose with tasty notes of sherry coating the palate. At 112.2 proof this whiskey is packed with flavor yet so easy to drink. Grab a bottle to warm you up as the cold weather approaches.
