About the winery/wine: Moe and Flora Momtazi bought 496 acres of land from an abandoned wheat farm south of their home in McMinnville, Oregon in 1997. They converted the land to Biodynamic and organic using practices with respect to nature. They believe in holding vintages until the wine has fully matured before release. Their three daughters became heavily involved in the winery and now produce purely female-made biodynamic wines.
The wine is named after ‘Arsheen’ who was an Achaemenian Princess around 500 B.C who taught astronomy and granted the role of winemaker in the palace due to her extensive knowledge and taste for wine.
Why we love this wine: “Besides being a big fan of their Jamsheed Pinot Noir, which would also be good with a slight chill during this summer heat! This tasty Pinot Gris is crisp with mouthwatering high acidity you can drool over your ocean fresh oysters and seafood dishes!” - Trevor
