Why we love this wine: “Think of a tropical setting on one of the largest ancient islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sardegna. Beautiful blue waters and tropical breezes. The island is perfect for growing Vermentino, and this one is mouthwatering. Filled with lots of floral and herbaceous notes, hints of lime and a nice citrus finish. Chill it down and stay cool! Great with seafood! Great with summer! Cheers!” – Trevor

Viticulture: Practicing Organic

Vinification/Elevage: After harvest, grapes are softly pressed into juice and fermented in stainless steel vats with natural yeast. The wine is then left to age on the lees for 4 months.

Tasting profile: Pale gold color with lots of floral and herbal aromas with lime and citrus on the palate.

About the winery: The Pala family had their first harvest in 1950 when Salvatore Pala founded the winery. The Vermentino vines are over 45 years old. Lia Tolaini-Banville became owner in 2024. The estate practices organic farming, avoiding chemical pesticides and fertilizers. They remain a celebrated Sardinian winery with decades of rich family history with wines that authentically represent this terroir.

This guy... our Toddy has had us laughing since his first day at the Bevie on July 4th 1981.
Things have changed allot at the Bevie these past 4+ decades, but Todd’s goofiness, kindness and mischievous nature thankfully has not.
Our customers always light up when they see him, especially the ones whom are back visiting.
When I get to connect with former staff, one of the first questions I am always asked is.
“Is Todd still there? Give him a hug for me”
Todd is Bevie , he is Nostalgia of your College days, your wedding, summer BBq’s the tough gatherings and the beautifully happy ones.

Why we love this wine: “Looking for a classy, and yet affordable rosé? This is one of my favorite rosés for its complexity, and it is hard to find a Bandol for under $30. Bandol is known for making high quality rosés with mostly Mourvèdre, a grape used for making great BBQ wines, but this rosé would also be great with seafoods, salads, and a lot of your favorite side dishes for grilling this summer or you can save it for a nice lobster dinner! Cheers!” - Trevor
Viticulture: Certified organic, and practicing biodynamic
Vinification/Elevage: A blend of 75% Mourvèdre, 17% Grenache, and 8% Cinsault all harvested by hand and farmed with organic practices. The grapes are directly pressed, or saignee method to extract color and flavor followed by fermentation in stainless steel for 4 to 10 months before bottling.

Tasting profile: Deep salmon color wine with aromas of strawberry, orange peel, watermelon, and floral hints. Dry in the mouth with flavors of blood orange, strawberries, watermelon, orange peel, and a long citrus finish. Full-bodied and complex.

About the winery: La Bastide Blanche winery was founded in 1972 by Michel and Louis Bronzo in Bandol and located in the foothills of Sainte-Baume Mountain roughly 4 miles from the Mediterranean Sea. The estate’s terraced vineyards are all harvested by hand and the soils are composed of mainly limestone, and all vineyards are farmed with organic and biodynamic practices. The estate also produces olive oils.

Why we love this wine: “Let’s take a trip to Slovenia for this week’s wine feature. The Pullus Pinot Noir is an aromatic light and fruity red, but also has a tasty tart and earthy finish. It’s light enough to be slightly CHILLED, especially satisfying with this week’s temperatures, but it’s also complexly layered without being too serious. The producer also has a crazy long wine history with cellars dating back to the 1200s! Cheers!” - Trevor
Viticulture: Sustainable
Vinification/Elevage: Hand harvested and given prolonged maceration time. Partial aging took place in 4000L barrels for 11 months and 235L French Oak barrels.
Tasting profile: Dry and yet filled with intense strawberry, cranberry, and fruity aromas with a slight tart and earthy finish. 12.5% ABV.
About the winery: Pullus is produced by Ptujska Klet, the oldest winery in Slovenia with the cellars lying beneath the city of Ptuj dating back to 1239! Making their wine cellar among the oldest in all of Europe. Their wine archive may not contain everything since 1239 but contains all vintages since 1946 through Slovenian’s independence in 1991. With diverse geological soils across steep-sloped vineyards, they now produce a variety of premium varietal wines with today’s modern wine practices and environmentally friendly cultivation.
