I am not writing this post because I'm mad, I'm writing this post to make sure you understand that liquor stores cannot compete with Kroeger and Walmart. I was recently told by a customer what the price of a packaged beer was at Walmart. They have it marked 1penny above cost. I just looked at my most recent statement from my credit card processing company and on average it cost me 76 cents to run a credit or debit card. My utilities run around $2000 a month. I am charging what I have to to keep my doors open. In a couple more years they will be selling wine and spirits. At that point you will see small town liquor stores get run out of business, close or try to sell. The liquor stores that remain open will see a drastic drop in their sales. I have really enjoyed my 19 years in business but small businesses in small towns struggle and the day is coming soon that us liquor store owners will have to decide whether or not to continue doing what we do. I just wanted to let people know that we are not getting rich off you. I always offer the best price I can. Thank you to all my customers for your business.

Just a heads up. I have been told that I will receive some Blackberry Crown this week. A lot of people have been asking for this. I was also told that the first three shipments into the state will be allocated. Because of the small amount I will receive I will limit it to one bottle per person so as many people as possible can get it until it's freeflow to us. I think that's the fair way to do it. I hope my customers will understand Thank you.

The BlackBerry Crown will supposedly arrive in March I did however get a few cases of this variety pack of ready-to-drink it has the BlackBerry Crown mixed with lemonade and a Mango lemonade rtd Crown it really looks like a good item so I hope it does well

I have in the past talked with people about selling the store. When I asked if all gift cards would be honored the answer was yes. As they should be. I received a gift card for Snappy Chics. It was purchased with the owner before the one now. I contacted who I assume was the new owner and was informed she would not honor it. She said the previous owner put something on Facebook telling her customers that they had to use their gift cards before the store sold. I guess everyone assumes we all live and breathe to be on our damn phones or computers and see everything everyone is doing. I for one don’t care what everyone else is doing or where they are eating lunch. I seldom go anywhere on the phone or computer. I just think my card should of been honored. You know those punch cards they give you for free merchandise? I have 6 full ones which means I spent $1500. I usually give them to my daughter and daughter-in-law to use. I liked shopping in there and considered myself a good customer. I understand the importance of supporting small town local businesses. Anywhosers…….I just wanted to say I think my gift card should of been honored. I was going to drive to Ark City and continue giving them my business but I won’t now. I doubt that they care.
