Wine should not be sold in grocery stores for the following reasons:

Small business: Local wine shops and specialty stores are often small businesses that rely on the sale of wine as a significant part of their revenue. Allowing wine to be sold in grocery stores would put these small businesses at a disadvantage, potentially leading to their closure.
Better selection: Wine shops and specialty stores often have a larger selection of wines from various regions and producers, as well as knowledgeable staff who can help customers make informed purchases. Grocery stores, on the other hand, typically have a limited selection and less knowledgeable staff.
Keeping your dollars local: By purchasing wine from local wine shops and specialty stores, you are supporting your community and keeping your dollars within the local economy. Allowing wine to be sold in grocery stores would likely lead to more profits going to large, national chains rather than supporting small, local businesses.
Overall, allowing wine to be sold in grocery stores would be detrimental to small businesses, would limit the selection available to consumers, and would not support the local economy. Please let your legislators and representatives know you support small businesses!
