Get out there and vote! I don’t care who you vote for, just vote.
Here’s a breakdown of what you should know politically when it comes to ci**rs:
The national elections will decide what the fed decides to do with to***co for the next 4 years. Neither party is perfect for us. The Dems would likely allow the FDA to continue to seek to regulate ci**rs. The Republicans would likely not allow that to happen. Dems will likely greatly increase taxes on imported ci**rs. Republicans will likely place a tariff on imported goods, which could include ci**rs.
Our state elections are much more important when it comes to overtaxation on ci**rs. NY Republicans have always supported our lower taxes on ci**rs while Democrats have often increased our taxes (and float a bill each year trying to increase our cigar tax yet again to over 100%). There are many Democrats across NY State that support our bills (including our wonderful bill sponsors) trying to cap our cigar tax. None of them are in our area. Our WNY area Democrats in the NY Senate and Assembly won’t support the bills. Do what you will with that information.
I know there are many, many other issues out there that outweigh this one. Just want to give you a little info on what this election could mean to our industry. Thanks for your time and make sure you vote today!

You know you want to…just let it happen. Come in for one smoke in our new lounge. It’s just one. No big deal. It doesn’t mean you’ll start coming in every day. It doesn’t mean you’ll stop going anywhere else for a smoke. You can stop whenever you want to. Right? 😜

We aren’t ready to open the new location yet but, we’re ready to give you a sneak peek. I’ll be here at the new store between 9am and 5pm tomorrow (Mon July 1). If you’d like to come and just take a look at the huge walk-in humidor (with lower cigar prices!) or even buy a cigar and test out the lounge, you’re welcome to do so. Address is 4401 Transit Rd. Corner of Main & Transit next to the old Brennan’s Bowery Bar (the end of the plaza near Tully’s). We don’t have a sign up yet but I’ll try and remember to put a standing sign on the sidewalk. We don’t have the cigar lockers here yet, no ice maker, no glasses, nothing in the fridge to drink, only a few chairs, etc. Keep it in mind that we’re a little rough yet and plan accordingly 😜
