Due to my injuries from my accident and advice from my surgeon that did my screen grafts. The grill will be closed for several days. I apologize for the inconvenience this may has caused. I pray that my burns heal quick without any complications so we can open back soon ! Thanks Michael Thomas

Starting this Sunday August 1, 2021 will be serving dinners from 11:00am until 2:00pm. We would like to welcome Lisa Whitlock to our kitchen staff that will be helping with dinners. This will give everyone in Whitmire another option to have lunch after church without having to travel out of town. We will post the menu this evening and we look forward to seeing you all. 1 Meat, 3 Vegetables, dessert and Tea $10 a plate

***If you have Spectrum internet at home. You can switch your phone to WIFI calling and be able to use your phone during the outage. **( Major fiber cut between Prosperity and Chapin has affected many celll phone towers in the area causing outages in Newberry, Saluda, and Lexington Counties. Crews are on the way to make repairs but no time for fix has been set.

We are accepting applications for cashiers, grill cooks, and food prep. Experience is preferred but is not required. You must be able to work different shifts, including weekends. You can post your application here and then you would be asked to fill a paper application at the store. Pay will be discussed during the interview.

2021 WHS Baccalaureate Service and Senior Parade

Whitmire First Baptist will host the 2021 Baccalaureate Service on Sunday, June 6 at 7:00. Due to the school district social distancing guidelines, the church will only be able to accommodate the WHS senior class, the junior marshals, and designated administration and staff members. The service will be broadcast live on Facebook on the Whitmire First Baptist page. Similar to last year's service, the members of the senior class will be acknowledged on the front courtyard of the church after the service. The Senior Parade will then proceed down Main Street. For those wanting to see the seniors and the parade please be parked on Main Street by 7:30 Sunday evening. Once the Baccalaureate Service is over Glenn and Main streets will be blocked off for the parade.
