2025 Fueling the Future Scholarship applications are now being accepted for college-bound high school seniors and current college students. $500 college scholarships will be awarded to male and female students residing in the double kwik service area. Scholarship information, including criteria and applications, is available on double kwik’s website. To be considered for a scholarship, all applications must be submitted by March 11, 2025.
Since 2018, Fueling the Future Foundation has awarded more than $100,000 in college scholarships. Double kwik established the Fueling the Future Foundation to help provide essential services and funds to children of Eastern Kentucky and Southwest Virginia. The foundation focuses on helping children and young adults achieve more through the gift of scholarships ranging from camp fees to college tuition or daily needs such as hygiene items, school supplies, clothing and Christmas presents.
To apply for the scholarship, seniors must attend one of the following high schools: Belfry, Betsy Lane, Breathitt County, Buckhorn, Cordia, East Ridge, Floyd County Central, Grundy, Hazard, Jenkins, June Buchanan, Knott County Central, Leslie County, Letcher County Central, Magoffin, Morgan County, Perry County Central, Phelps, Pike County Central, Pikeville, Prestonsburg, Shelby Valley and Wise.
