In 1938 it was purchased by John Corey, a visionary in the liquor industry. Mr. Corey grew the company from one retail location into a chain retail stores. He also opened a distilled spirits plant and import division in the 1950’s located in Boston’s Historic South End. Blanchards continues to be #1 in the market by offering the best selection, competitive prices and emphasizes discovering talented local distillers, brewers and winemakers . Our stores are bright, clean, easy to shop and staffed with knowledgeable trained professionals.
