Celebrating National Volunteer Month – Spotlight on Brad C.
April is National Volunteer Month, and we’re excited to recognize Brad C., Store Director at Cash Wise in Bismarck, for his remarkable dedication to giving back. Brad volunteers with two incredible organizations — the Dream Center of Bismarck and the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch — both of which are deeply rooted in supporting the community and improving lives.
The Dream Center’s mission is to minimize hunger in the Bismarck community through programs like the Adopt A Block Food Truck, free breakfast and evening meal services, and an onsite food cupboard. The Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch helps at-risk children and their families succeed through faith-based care and support across North Dakota.
Brad’s journey with volunteering began in 2016 with Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch, inspired by personal family history of adoption and support. He’s been involved in fundraising, faith-based services, and even board service for the Ranch Foundation. Since 2018, Brad has also partnered with the Dream Center, helping organize the annual Diaper Dash and supporting their meal services and food drives.
"I believe volunteering supports Coborn’s core value of Community Giving by showing that we are actively involved and care about the well-being of our neighbors," Brad said. "Our stores have a long-standing partnership with the Dream Center, and it’s rewarding to see the difference we make together."
For Brad, the most rewarding moments come from seeing the smiles of those impacted by his work. "I love helping others and making a difference in my community." His advice to aspiring volunteers? "Find a cause you're passionate about — saying yes can open so many doors."
Thank you, Brad, for living out Coborn’s value of Community Giving and inspiring us all to lend a helping hand.
