LCA+: “From Chico” V.2 by Chico Rivas

For those of you who have been with LCA since the early days….this will be particularly exciting news for you. Dominican Master Blender Chico Rivas spent years blending for Quesada before starting his own factory where he has rolled for numerous boutique brands. Chico is known for being slightly intimidating with his electric, artistic passion and sporadic, boundless energy…and this wild band captures this chaotic energy that Chico is known for. Following the overwhelming reception to “From Chico” when first release in 2021, we realized that this was a blend that deserved to come back…one day. Immediately following the original release, we secretly worked with Chico to recreate the blend and have quietly been aging this cigar for three years, waiting for it to reach perfection…and we now have.

This 6x50 blend is now smoking sweet, juicy, zesty, and with nuances of pepper, spice, cocoa, and some other notes that are difficult to truly pin down. Collectors will be thrilled at the surprise return of this OG LCA blend, and for those who are experiencing “From Chico” for the first time…enjoy.

Wraith Series 2024
Welcome to the Privada Wraith Series.
Privada Wraiths are the stuff of legend. Cigar folklore. With this series we summon the spirits of legendary blends, of ci**rs long lost to the past, recreating each to offer them new life. These are ci**rs that rocked the industry and changed blending as we know it today. The most iconic of these blends have not been made this way - the original way - in a long time. The Privada Wraith Series travels back to the original factories to source everything necessary to recreate these celebrated ci**rs. Every effort is made to ensure that each Wraith manifestation is as close as possible to what was originally released. Each year the cigar is different. Most years, the to***cos, factories and original name of the cigar is omitted to maintain respect for the brands for whom the blends were originally produced. When you encounter a Wraith, you'll know you are enjoying a part of cigar history that changed the game forever.

This year, we’ve unearthed a revered Connecticut blend born during a time when the cigar world was obsessed with maduros in the early 2010s. The factory behind this 6x54 box-pressed toro revealed hardly any details—the Connecticut Shade wrapper comes from a specific, highly coveted farm, and the blend includes to***cos from several countries…no factory wants to risk signaling to the original brand owner the revival of their prized blend. Indulge in box-pressed bliss this October, as we bring you a legend from the past, reimagined for today.

During a routine check-in with AJ Fernandez’s factory in Estelí, we stumbled upon a forgotten batch of 7x47 true Churchill-sized ci**rs, aging undisturbed for nearly six years. Originally crafted for a luxury European brand that never launched, these ci**rs feature a golden Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Costa Rican binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Their unique blend was meant for exclusivity, but fate kept them hidden—until now. With Dead Stock, these lost treasures are finally available, offering an experience shaped by time and history.

Trinitaria Jugo Dorado by Chico Rivas

Dominican master blender Chico Rivas, renowned for mentoring rising Dominican blenders, presents Trinitaria Jugo Dorado, aged for three years using the Privada method. ‘Trinitaria’ signifies the
brotherhood of these artisans under Chico’s tutelage and pays homage to La Trinitaria, the 19th century secret society of revolutionaries who fought for Dominican independence.

'Jugo Dorado,' meaning Golden Juice, captures the bright, crisp, layered flavor of this 5.5x50 blend. Rolled at Chico Rivas’ Tabacalera Rivas, it features a Dominican Corojo wrapper, Nicaraguan Estelí binder, and Dominican fillers of Habano 2020, Pelo de Oro, Piloto Mejorado, and Corojo.

This cigar is a true exemplar of fine Dominican craftsmanship. Add to all of this that the cigar has been aged by Privada Cigar Club using the Privada method utilizing coolers and two-way humidity control for over 3 years, and we have a must try in this month’s LCA plus!

Peruvian Gold by Rojas Ci**rs

Noel Rojas, owner and master blender of Rojas Ci**rs, began his journey in Cuba, where he developed a passion for Peruvian to***co, believed to be the true birthplace of to***co. Years
later, he befriended Peruvian to***co producer Gennaro Lettieri and secured an annual lot of his to***co. With this, Rojas crafted a private blend, declaring to Brian Desind of Privada Cigar Club, “I do not sell this cigar; it is only for me.” In a rare agreement, Rojas allowed Privada Cigar Club members to receive one of these coveted ci**rs, Peruvian Gold, three years ago.
After four years of aging, this exclusive 6x46 blend with a Nicaraguan Habano wrapper and fillers from Nicaragua and Peru is now available as July’s LCA release, crafted at the Rojas Cigar Factory in Nicaragua.

LCA Plus:
W.A. Isle of Canines by AJ Fernandez

The W.A. series is an installment series by Privada based on the filmography of Wes Anderson. Isle of Canines is the ninth installment in the series, inspired by Anderson’s ninth feature lengthfilm, Isle of Dogs. Wes Anderson received critical acclaim for this film, and AJ Fernandez is similarly due acclaim for this masterpiece of a blend he produced for LCA retailers.
This 6x56 toro offers a flavor experience both bold and nuanced with numerous transitions in the profile throughout. This Nicaraguan Puro was rolled at Tabacalera Annex in downtown Estelí, Nicaragua. If you enjoy flavorful and surprising cigar experiences, this one’s for you.

This 6x54 toro features a Cuban-seed, Ecuadorian-grown wrapper aged for over ten years, as well as a three-year-aged binder from Estelí. The fillers, personally cultivated by AJ on his farms in Nicaragua, include a pinch of magic for an extraordinary smoking experience. Between the unbeatable smoking experience and highly collectible packaging, Year of Puff promises to be one of 2024’s premier offerings.

Noche en Nicaragua

Mr. Robot is the alias for an enigmatic master blender behind a prominent cigar brand who has wanted to put to the test, through their collaborations with Privada, whether it is their talent as a blender, or merely brand recognition, that has fueled their success. Following the success of two releases for LCA in past years under the name Robot Fumador, we're excited to introduce the Noche en Nicaragua as the LCA Plus release for June.
The blend and factory details of this 6x50 toro remain confidential to maintain anonymity for Mr. Robot, though, as the name implies, it's likely crafted with Nicaraguan to***cos at its core. The identity of Mr. Robot may remain a mystery, but the experience that this cigar offers will not. Don't miss out!

BBQ Pig: Fire Pig by Quesada
While re-releases are a bit unusual for LCA, it has become a tradition over the last three years that fans of LCA look forward to the release of BBQ Pig every May. Each May, for the last three
years, LCA has released the original BBQ Pig, an all-time favorite amongst LCA followers. This May, the Pig returns, but in the form of a brand-new blend: Fire Pig.

Unlike the original BBQ Pig, Fire Pig features a Mexican San Andres wrapper with undisclosed binder and fillers, including one Peruvian leaf in the filler. Like the original, this 4.5x60 pig was rolled at Quesada's factory, Tabacos de Exportación, in the Dominican Republic. Privada has been teasing the coming of this new BBQ Pig blend for a full year, and Fire Pig is arguably one of the most anticipated releases in LCA’s history. Fans of the original will be greeted with a completely new, robust, unique, and surprisingly complex smoking experience that, in our opinion, far surpasses what even the original BBQ Pig offered.

Raspberry Beret by El Titan de Bronze
Established in 1995 in Little Havana, Miami, FL, El Titan De Bronze Cigar is a beacon of handcrafted cigar excellence. Their “Level 9” rollers, with backgrounds in renowned Cuban factories, craft ci**rs in the traditional Cuban style, including entubado filler tubing. The
factory's namesake, Antonio Maceo Grajales, the “Bronze Titan,” symbolizes dedication to craftsmanship. This collaboration with El Titan de Bronze, inspired by Prince’s classic hit “Raspberry Beret,” was released in February of this year to members of the Privada Cigar Club to simply rave reviews. In the spirit of LCA’s dedication to supporting our brick-and-mortar cigar retailers, we are choosing to share this hyped cigar in this month’s LCA Plus.

Raspberry Beret is a 6x48 featuring a Nicaraguan habano wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and fillers. Privada Cigar Club members who have had the opportunity to smoke this cigar just once are
eager for more, and those who have not already experienced this blend are in for an outstanding flavor experience that only El Titan can offer.

The Reinier Lorenzo LCA Masterpiece by HVC

Brian Desind of Privada Cigar Club and Reinier Lorenzo of HVC Ci**rs have once again joined forces. Their previous collaborations have resulted in the creation of legendary ci**rs. This time, they've introduced a duality of flavor experiences with two distinct ci**rs: one for members of the esteemed Privada Cigar Club, featuring a Nicaraguan habano wrapper, and one specially crafted for the Limited Cigar Association, featuring a Mexican maduro wrapper.

Both blends feature the same Nicaraguan fillers and binder grown by Aganorsa Leaf, allowing connoisseurs who collect both blends to experience how different wrappers transform the smoking experience. These 6.5x52 toros were rolled at HVC’s new factory Fábrica de Tabacos HVC in Estelí. We are proud to offer this full-bodied, complex, dynamic maduro from HVC Ci**rs exclusively to LCA retailers this April.

W.A. The Great Danube by AJ Fernandez

Introducing the newest gem in the W.A. series, a creative collaboration between AJ Fernandez and Brian Desind inspired by the filmography of Wes Anderson. Brian, a fervent admirer of Wes
Anderson, during his meetings with AJ, persuaded him to unveil for the American market some of his unique blends, all inspired by Wes Anderson's cinematic themes.

This release, the eighth in the series since its debut in April 2022, presents a 7x50 Churchill that has been aged for two years. The combination of masterful blending and meticulous aging underscores LCA's dedication to delivering unmatched quality to American cigar enthusiasts. This blend features a habano wrapper, with AJ keeping the rest of the blend a closely guarded secret.
