Ready for Hoxeyville?! Some words of wisdom:

**Please print your receipt or take a screenshot** and have YOUR ORDER # ready on your phone when you arrive to expedite your check in.

If you intend to camp next to friends, you absolutely must arrive TOGETHER, sequentially in line. We cannot jockey lanes to place you together. Space cannot be held or reserved once parked.

Spaces are filled in order on a first come, first served. If you have a tent and plan to camp at a friend’s RV site, you must park your vehicle in day parking and carry your things to the RV site.

Due to issues with unattended wandering children, we no longer offer family camping near the kids area. All camping will be commingled.

Please be patient while waiting in line. Our staff, volunteers, and security are here to make sure everyone arrives safely.

Please note that gates close for entry each night at 9pm.

Remember: NO glass, pets, weapons, sky lanterns, fires, fireworks, charcoal or open flames. Bring your A game. Take care of each other. Look out for one another. We are all in this together.

YOU'RE INVITED to stop and smell the flowers on June 29,2023 from noon to 3 p.m. at the historic Chittenden Nursery, home of the Cadillac/Manistee Ranger District, located on M55, in Wellston, MI., during their open house event.

In conjunction with the Manistee Forest Festival, the District will host an open house where visitors can stroll through the native pollinator garden, learn ways the Forest Service is saving American Elm trees, visit the gift shop and meet Smokey Bear.

This event commemorates the nearly 90-year relationship between the Manistee Forest Festival and Chittenden Nursery. In 1936 Chittenden Nursery was dedicated as part of the inaugural Manistee Forest Festival, with 2,000 people in attendance. At that time, the Chittenden Nursery was the largest tree nursery in the world.

Did you know that if you bring your own boat to certain sections of the Pine that you are responsible for purchasing a watercraft permit for the river? Even though the permit requirement has been in place since the 1970's, many people are still unaware of it or don't completely understand how it works. Permits are required from the Friday of Memorial Weekend to the Monday of Labor Day weekend and from Elm Flats to Low Bridge.

Good news! Jake and Josh got out on Friday and cut Elm Flats to Dobson, so now Elm Flats to Low Bridge has been cut and is good to go.
The river is currently running at 268 CFS - about 100 CFS lower than average for this time of year.
The first part of this week is looking pretty chilly with highs in the 30's and 40's, and even a chance of snow in the mix. However, this weekend is looking much more like summer with high's in the 60's. Let us know if we can help you get out on the river! 🛶
