Our Star & Key Rum is smooth yet complex, crafted from fresh cane. Distilled in a Coffey still located amidst can fields to preserve ingredient freshness. Our shop owner, Bassam, has a family history in the trading of silver and antiquities, which is evident from the pieces adorning the store. Some have even been featured in the Smithsonian galleries and have been a great inspiration in the ambiance of what is now Bacchus Wine Cellar. With about 7,000 bottles decorating the shelves from regions across the planet, we carry something for every palate.

Rum is a liquor distilled from sugar. Most often from sugarcane; either pure sugarcane, syrup, or molasses. A Note From Our Shop Owner:
"I'm Bassam Al-Kahouaji, and I'm originally from Syria. I started this business in 2000 and was actually looking to open an antique store. The only store available at the time was this one, and it had a liqueur license so I bought the store, renovated it, and with the help of friends, family, and neighbors I learned all about liqueur and opened Bacchus Wine Cellar. We're so grateful for the community here in Georgetown who welcomed us and helped us grow. I can't wait for you to stop by!"
