Following the repeal of prohibition in Washington, DC, Ace Beverage Fine Wines & Spirits opened their doors in 1934 on 18th Street NW in the neighborhood now known as Adams Morgan. Siegel, a Polish immigrant, owned & operated the store as it quickly became the destination for wine & spirits enthusiasts. H

e built the business on stocking quality products and offering customer service that could not be beat. Siegel’s son moved the shop to the Foxhall neighborhood to accommodate the need for a larger warehouse space. Today you will find two of Mr. Siegel’s grandsons at the store! Ace Beverage is proud to be a 3rd generation small business.
