Pol Roger is one of the few remaining family-owned grande marque Champagne houses. Their grande marque status was guaranteed at the turn of the century when about 20 producers banded together to establish exacting quality controls for Champagne.

The Brut Réserve is a blend in equal parts of the three grape varieties: pinot noir, pinot meunier and chardonnay from 30 different crus. 25% reserve wines are used to produce it.

Cakebread Cellars needs no introduction; it’s one of the best known wineries producing ultra classic Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valley. Their current vintage Cabernet is always stocked out our stores.

But today we’re offering a library release, the 2013 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Why 2013? 10-15 year old Napa Cabernet is usually a real treat, but 2013 was lauded as one of the best vintages in Napa ever. So, this offer enables you to taste a perfectly matured wine, straight from the winery itself, released recently. Alongside the classic notes of cassis, blackberry, vanilla and spice, you have mature aromas like a savory earthiness, hints of leather, perfectly complimenting the classic Cabernet aromas. And the texture has turned into something else, softening, almost melting the tannins into the rest of the wine. This is what perfectly mature Cabernet can do!

Only a handful of bottles will be available, as it’s a very limited release indeed.

Our Holiday Wine Special #3 This Nebbiolo comes from Valle d’Aosta, Italy’s smallest wine region. Located at the northwestern corner of Italy bordering Switzerland and France, this is a region known for its breathtaking Apline scenery and uniquely high elevation vineyards.

Les Cretes is a small, family owned winery located in Valle d’Aosta, whose wines are focused, with clear, clean flavors and a whiff of alpine herbs. Wines made in small quantities like this are not submitted to the traditional wine scoring entities, so you’ll just have to take our word for it!

This is a unique, hand crafted wine with all the aromatic complexity of Nebbiolo - cherries, licorice, notes of rose and spice, with the same tannic grape as in more typical Nebbiolos but with a lighter, less grippy tannic structure.

Perfect for those who love Nebbiolo but want to find a slighly lighter, more edgy version with clear, Apline flavors and the typical combination of depth of fruit and refreshing acidity that comes from these high elevation mountain vineyards.

Since 1958, the Produttori del Barbaresco has been the reference point for classic Barbaresco. And since their launching in 1967, the Produttori’s Riservas have been the defining expressions of Barbaresco’s noble vineyards.

The Produttori was founded in the 1950s, when the parish priest organized 19 struggling growers to make wine communally. With time, the Produttori grew to about sixty members—owning the lion’s share of Barbaresco’s greatest vineyards.

The Ovello vineyard is typically described as producing fruity and graceful Barbaresco wines with a strong backbone and powerful tannins. In 2017 yields were 20% lower in other years, producing wines that are dense and perfect for aging.

The drinking window for the 2017 is 2024-2030, so this is a perfect time to exprience one of the leading single vineyards of Barbaresco.
