Another beautiful summer, đŸ˜¶ , fall day! 🍁 Another beautiful cheese addition to the store! Linedeline from is an ash-ripened goat cheese complete with an oozy cream line inner edge. Flavors are very complex with crĂšme fraiche or cream cheese notes. This along with white cap mushroom flavors make for a very tasty cheese. Break out the Sauvignon Blanc and/or rosĂ©!

New cheese in the case! Blakesville Creamery’s Afterglow is a washed-rind goat’s milk mini-wheel that is washed with cherry ale. The result is multi-flavored with light notes of fruit and ale and a tender center hugged by an oozy cream line. Delicious!

A naked expression of Sangiovese from Umbria. Special pricing til next Sunday or while supplies last.

100% Sangiovese. Black and red cherries, plums and blackberries, with red ferrous earth tones. Medium-bodied red with bold flavors and character. First sniff exhibits light reduction but quickly fades to the ripe fruit and light earth. First sip is a bit shy but begins to reveal its full potential quickly. The wine has an easy going attitude and has very gentle tannins on a medium-long finish. The longer this is open the better it seems to get. An honest and clear expression of Sangiovese with out the make-up. Red sauce dishes are a great pairing, or make pizza, or get take-out and crack this baby open! Liter. Organic.

Jacquin Buche de Lucay (Bucheron) is a classic French goat cheese that resembles a log blanketed in snow. Under the bloomy rind is a silky cream line and within that is a crumbly yet creamy core. Pair with a zippy Sauvignon Blanc or crisp rosé. Blueberry jam or honey will also do nicely.

‘s O’Banon is a mini chùvre wheel wrapped in bourbon-soaked chestnut leaves, that while appealing to the eyes, is even more appetizing to the tastebuds. Pillowy soft with a tart tangy impression that leads to a sweet creaminess. Sampling this gorgeous cheese all day!

Today marks Fiske & Main’s 4 Year Anniversary! I really can’t believe I opened and sold the first bottle(s) of wine four years ago today. It seems like a couple years have passed. We will celebrate in about two weeks with a wine and cheese fest in the field! Look for more info via email and here. Looking forward to many more years expanding and sharing some of my passions. Sancerre priced for all. Email went out yesterday. 13 generations of the Dauny family have been growing grapes in this storied Loire region and have been organic since the ’60s. 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Gooseberry, citrus, subtle white grapefruit, and hint of grass and flint. Aromas are almost delicate in their individuality, yet as a whole are full and lovely. The flavors follow seamlessly and the palate shows good concentration with medium weight. The wine is crisp but also delivers a round, almost soft trailing finish. Pair with Chùvres, and seafood of all kinds. Organic.
