We have a new goat cheese in the house! Bonde d’Antan is from the Loire Vally region Poitou-Charente and is made from pasteurized goat’s milk. The lovely, edible, wrinkly, brainy rind is tangy and earthy; and the whole cheese is mildly sweet with a tangy lemony aftertaste. Beautiful and delicious! Clearly Sancerre is a great pairing but so is a Rosé from the Loire or Provence.
