The 2020 Covid epidemic cause many bars and restaurants to close their doors temporarily. Those who relied on bartenders to make their favorite cocktails. We’re missing out and many liquor companies had a great solution. Early last spring, we worked together with the brewers at Shipyard Brewing Company in Portland, Maine to brew and barrel-age a high ABV pumpkin ale for the cooler months of fall. We supplied two used whiskey barrels, one from Buffalo Trace and one from Woodford Reserve. The results were two unique brews with fantastic flavors of pumpkin, spice, vanilla, and baked bread. A full bodied beer with a ABV just north of 10% was in our hands, and will soon be here ready for you. Stay tuned!!
