We just received a shipment of some serious do-not-miss wines this week from Occhipinti! These wines come to us in limited supply, so don't wait to come make your selections! 🏃
You may already be aware of the buzz around owner/winemaker Arianna Occhipinti from her appearance on Stanley Tucci's Searching For Italy which premiered in 2021. But this wasn't her first brush with the spotlight. Arianna Occhinpinti has been taking the wine world by storm for years now, becoming "a seminal figure for a new generation of wine lovers."
Based in Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG in Sicily, Occhipinti has farmed all of her land biodynamically since 2009, producing fantastic Organic wines including Frappato, Nero d'Avola, Zibibbo, Albanello, and Grillo- plus an array of other indigenous produce like olives, citrus, wheat and pears.

Something crisp to cool down with 🥵 This bottle by is called Tuverbol and it's really a blend of two beers- their house lambic and Laterbol blonde ale, so you'll get that sour lambic bite, but with the mellowing, golden malt flavor of a blonde. Because it is often the first major Cabernet Sauvignon to be released in a given vintage, Caymus Vineyards is viewed as a bellwether for the quality of a given harvest. True to form, this 2022 vintage is months ahead of most Cabernets and is as big, flashy and fun as ever. Defined by its velvety, mature tannins and a decadent core of rich chocolate-powder and vanilla infused plum-berry fruit.

It's a really special bottle that combines 3 Old World barrel finishes. After maturing for 12 years in New American Oak, the spirit is divvied into one of three barrels –Madeira (63%), Sauternes (30%) and Port (7%). Finished to perfection and blended into a symphony of flavor. This bottle is one of a kind! (just like Dad 🥃)

A couple of standouts from our Beer of The Month sake lineup. Here we have two distinct styles:
Kikusui Perfect Snow is a Nigori sake, a style that is unfiltered, resulting in a "snowy" rice sediment that adds a nice texture to this sweet and full bodied sake.
Secondly, an extra-rich Genshu (undiluted) sparkling sake. The bubbles only add to this sakes classic fruity aromas and juicy flavor.
