A nationwide cell service outage is preventing some AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, cricket, and more customers from making or receiving calls, including emergency calls, some 911 centers say. The website DownDetector reported more than 38,000 AT&T outages as of 7 a.m. Eastern time, with the first reports coming in shortly after 4 a.m.
