Simon Hazel Cellars is excited to announce the return of our Wine & Jazz Happy Hour, next Friday, August 18, 2023 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM!

Once per month, our most popular and beloved wine tasting event will showcase our newest additions, up and coming wines, staff favorites, and your favorites/most popular bottles.

$10 admission gets you into the event, enjoyment of the amazing Joshua Rhoads performing live guitar, light charcuterie/appetizers, your choice of 6 out of 10 wines available to taste, and a $10-off bottle purchase voucher to be used toward the purchase of any one bottle in the store, during the event.

We are excited to share the incredible trophy wine lineup at this Friday’s Reserve List Fine Wine Tasting. Featuring elite vineyards from Russian River Valley, Burgundy, Willamette Valley, Barolo, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, and Napa, these elite wines showcase terroir, complexity, balance, and artisan fine wine at it’s best.

Thank you to all who came out for an exceptional Wine & Jazz Happy Hour this past Saturday highlighting Italian wines, and to the lovely mothers and their families for celebrating our sold out Mother’s Day event with us! It was such a treat to see our favorite returning guests and meet so many new smiling faces!

If you missed the events last weekend, not to worry - our next event will be equally incredible, if not better. Our brand-new Featured Tasting will take place next Thursday, one week from tomorrow, May 25, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Featured Tasting:

Taking a deep-dive exploration of a special wine topic, producer, style, varietal, or region, our monthly Featured Tasting utilizes a hybrid format providing an elegant sit-down formal wine tasting, while allowing the opportunity to mingle with fellow guests, enjoy the amazing live music, and taste at your own pace. Think of it as a mix between Wine & Jazz and our Private Tasting Experience! Each guest will receive:

-Individual Wine Tasting Journal to take notes and to take home.
-Reserved seating with luxurious crystal and gold stemware for tasting.
-Six phenomenal wine tastings illustrating the highlights of the evening’s special topic/producer, style, varietal, or region.
-Individually-portioned, delectable charcuterie arrangement by Fig + Feta.
-Perfectly-paired, live music entertainment by the one and only, Joshua Rhoads.
-The perfect evening to enjoy high-quality wines, while learning the nuanced details which them fascinating and complex, with magical ambiance, amongst the best people around.

We have several upcoming changes to our events lineup at Simon Hazel Cellars. We have added three new types of regularly scheduled tasting events: a monthly Featured Tasting, a monthly Wine Tasting 101, and a quarterly Fine Wine Tasting.

Please read the changes below, mark your calendars for the upcoming dates in May, and check out our website for full details about each specific event. We are incredibly excited to roll out these new tastings and know you will love them!

• Changing: Wine & Jazz Happy Hour
Our Wine & Jazz Happy Hour will now be held ONCE per month. This month – May 2023 – Wine & Jazz Happy Hour will be SATURDAY, May 13, 2023 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
$10 per person – refunded with bottle purchase. No Reservations are required.

Next Event: Saturday, May 13, 2023. 6:00PM – 8:00PM.

• New Addition: Simon Hazel Cellars Featured Tasting
Held ONCE per MONTH. This will be a formal, sit-down wine tasting, following our Private Tasting Experience format, but open to the public. We will feature 6 wines highlighting a specific producer, varietal, or style.
$60 per person. Reservations are required.

Next Event: Thursday, May 25, 2023. 5:00PM – 7:00PM.

• New Addition: Wine Tasting 101: An Introduction to Tasting Like a Pro!
Held ONCE per MONTH. Join us to learn the basics of wine tasting. We start with grapes, the winemaking process, and dive into the qualities and characteristics that make wine great (or not). Learn how to identify important properties of the wine including the region, varietal, and vintage.
$45 per person. Reservations are required. Offered monthly. Reservations for private groups are available.

Next Event: Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 7:00 PM

• New Addition: Quarterly Fine Wine Tasting
Held ONCE per QUARTER. Our first Fine Wine Tasting will be Wednesday, Jun 14, 2023, at 7:00PM. We will be showcasing some of the best wines we have. From Napa cult wines to fantastic French, and the big iconic Italians, we will feature 6 top shelf, exquisite wines.
$125 per person. Reservations are required.
