Join us this Saturday for our second South African wine tasting of the year! After the fantastic turnout we had for our first tasting, we've decided to bring it back by popular demand.

On the tasting menu, we're featuring a variety of South African wines, starting with a Chenin Blanc, the signature white varietal of the region. Next up, we have a sparkling Rosé made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. And finally, the "pièce de résistance": two Pinotage wines. Pinotage, South Africa's indigenous red varietal, is a unique cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault, locally known as Hermitage.

This Saturday we are tasting Beaujolais wines! Beaujolais is located in the eastern part of France, just south of Burgundy. It’s known primarily for its red wines made from the Gamay grape varietal. And the whites are made from the Chardonnay white grape varietal. It’s Springtime and many of the Beaujolais wineries release their new wines at this time of the year. We will enjoy a white Beaujolais (Chardonnay) then a host of four different ‘Crus’. The ten ‘Cru’ wines of the Beaujolais are the ten villages that make up the finer wines in the North of the region. It’s time for a tour of the Loire Valley, France this week at our Saturday Tasting. The Loire is a remarkably beautiful place, especially in the Springtime!
