Hey folks! It's Bill from Tees Me Treat Me with a quick update.

We continue to offer delivery and pick-up service until my return this Friday when the dining room will once again open for our normal service. My recovery seems on-track enough that this estimate is beginning to look reliable. Of course, we will know more in the coming days, but I really don't see any reason that we will miss this target.

Hey folks! It's Bill from Tees Me Treat Me with a message of gratitude and an announcement.

First, let me thank everyone for their prayers, positive energies and overall good vibes. Your post reactions and messages are humbling and driving my recovery. You brought light into a very scary time and helped put my mind in the right state for what I had to endure. Thank you all!

Next, while my recovery from an emergency appendectomy seems ahead of schedule, I am still not ready to return to the restaurant. As a result, our dining room will remain closed until at least next Friday, but I do have some good news to share with you.

I'm sure you'll agree that no one wants to sit around and not earn a paycheck while waiting for the boss to return, so... my small staff has agreed to come in and provide our community with Pick-Up and Delivery service in my absence starting tomorrow for our usual lunch hours of 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

As we recover from the total loss of all food product due to the temporary shutdown, our menu will be limited. However, we will have hourly deals available as we return to full strength. It's a great opportunity to have the freshest sandwiches ready for pick-up on your schedule, or delivered to your door, at a special price.

I hope you will take advantage of the offers. We are eager to serve. Almost as eager as I am to get back at it! We hope to "see" you tomorrow! It all starts tomorrow at 11:00 AM. Hey folks, Bill here from Tees Me Treat Me.

Let me first say how humbling it has been to witness the outpouring of compassion from everyone. It warms my heart and has brought light to a dark day.

Next, I would like you to know what's going on, so you understand why we have had to close and why the extended duration.

Following a business presentation Wednesday night, I returned home and made a pot of red beans and rice. While eating I suddenly had the feeling of being hit by a baseball bat just below my rib cage. Within 45 minutes the pain had moved to my abdominal floor, and my amateur medical sleuthing lead me to reluctantly diagnose myself with a ruptured appendix thanks to the Mayo Clinic (nothing to do with Mayonnaise ~ dang it). However, I leaned toward servere constipation and began to treat for it.

Thursday was the worst day of my life. The pain was excruciating. I don't know how I made it through. My wonderful wife setup an appointment at Mt. San Rafael for Friday. I'm very lucky she did. My appendix had indeed ruptured and began sweeping into my abdomen.

The team in Trinidad scrambled to find a place for the surgery. The only place nearby was UCHealth Memorial Central in the Springs. We arrived at midnight and I was under the knife by 1:30. They cracked me open and did their thing, but instead of an out patient my stay has been extended to a minimum of four days while they flush me with antibiotics. After that, I've got a lengthy recovery to heal this split in my gut and learn to walk with it.

So, it does appear that the conservative two month recovery was indeed accurate. My age may be a factor in that timeline, but I will push myself to try to get back faster. In the meantime, I will explore methods to offer whatever service we can and let you know as I advance the ball in that regard.

I'm sorry this has been so wordy, but I feel like you all deserve to know. Thank you for being you.

Tees Me Treat Me will be closed for the foreseeable future due to an illness. Depending on the final diagnosis and treatment plan, this could result in our closure for up to two months.

Hi, folks! This is Bill, the owner/operator of Tees Me Treat Me, and the one affected by the illness that has required our recent closure.

Although I am on the mend, I am not well enough to reopen today as hoped. However, our small staff has found a way to serve you via delivery until my return allows us to reopen the dining room and gift shop for regular service.

Therefore, we will be able to serve you via our partnership with DoorDash during our regular lunch hours of 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We look forward to serving you in this capacity until we can return to full strength.

Whatever this illness is, we do not wish it on anyone. As a result, we have made the decision to close for the weekend, so as not to share it with anyone and to make sure that it ends here.

Hopefully, further closure does not become necessary and we will see you again on Monday.

The illness affecting our team has yet to run its course and we are sad to report that we must remain closed for at least another day (Friday, January 10) in hopes that it will be enough to restore health.

At Tees Me Treat Me, we know that these are uniquely challenging times for everyone, and we have heard you loud and clear. That is why over the last few days, we have had several meetings with our suppliers in hopes to get a little relief in the cost of our goods.
