Friday Feature is our Makers Mark Private Select

Our private select uses Makers Cask Strength base and is aged for 90 days using 10 specially selected flavoring staves.

We went heavy handed on French Mocha staves which contrary to is namesake added deep cherry flavor to this barrel. 3 French cuvée staves added some malty chocolate undertones. 1 stave each of American Pure and French Spice helped us establish a much silkier mouthfeel and an all spice finish that lasts for days.

This is a can’t miss for a get together or gift for a good friend… or for yourself. I always say TREATYOSELF

Thirsty Thursday feature is our 8yr Vertical series barrel select

Nose- Caramel and brown sugar dusted Apples
Tasting Notes- brown sugar, oak and spiced vanilla on the front palate followed by undertones of citrus and apples
Finish- long and lingering sweet oak

Pinhook’s head blender Sean Josephs oversees their whiskey blending operations at the Old Taylor Distillery in Kentucky. The vertical series, however, is whiskey from MGP in Indiana that was purchased early on in their business development. Each year they release a handful of barrels to specially selected stores to show the changing dynamics of how one single mashbill ages over time. This is the 5th barrel we have featured here at Loyalty Liquors. We started with the 4yr way back in 2019 and now featuring the 8yr it just keeps getting better!
