Did you know not all olive oils are created equal? 🫒

At Pasolivo, we’re bottling up liquid gold—pure, unadulterated, premium-quality olive oil. Unlike many imposters, our oils are grown, cold-pressed, and bottled right here in Paso Robles, ensuring every drop meets our high standards. Taste the importance of authentic quality and transparency ✨

Shop at the link in our bio or read our blog for more information on the olive oil fraud!

Suzanne is a local girl. Hometown, Atascadero. Soultown, San Luis Obispo. She’s a self admitted concert addict. If you don’t see her at the show you’re at, it’s only because she’s at another one and there’s really only one of her.

Happy International Merlot Day!! 🍷👏🏼🎉

Hailing from France, Merlot translates to “little blackbird” in an old regional French dialect. Merlot is the second-most planted grape in the entire world and the most planted variety in the Bordeaux region!

California is an excellent place to grow Merlot because of it’s variety of climates, meaning Merlot grapes grown in different areas of California will have different flavor profiles, leading wine enthusiasts to call Merlot “the chameleon of wines”. So if you think you don’t like Merlot (or if you’re biased because of Sideways👀) think again! There are so many options to explore and you’re likely to find one to your taste🍷

When you enjoy a glass of Merlot expect your palatte to be delighted with notes of cherry, plum, chocolate, and dried herbs. Most Merlot wines sit in the middle of the red wine spectrum, with medium levels of tannin, acidity, and alcohol, but that doesn’t mean Merlot can’t be big and bold too! At Moonstone we aim for Merlot that is approachable, bright, and full of cherry notes, and at the end leaves you ready for another glass.

Moonstoners, sound off in the comments! Why do you love Merlot? And if you’ve been a club member for awhile, what year was your favorite Moonstone Merlot?? 🍷

🚨95 POINT ALERT🚨 Our 2021 Fog Catcher just received a 95 point score from Wine Enthusiast Magazine! Our flagship Bordeaux blend is aged 28 months in French oak barrels and we just released the 2021 vintage last month. You can find it online and in the tasting room this Holiday season 🍷

From Wine Enthusiast:

“This is a big, almost bombastic blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Malbec and 5% Carmenere, opening on the nose with black currant, graphite, black pepper and savory earth aromas. The palate is bold with cassis and coffee cream flavors, as the oak influence is apparent and the the thick mouthfeel is strapped together by fine tannins. Sure to impress any table.”  M.K.
