🚧 Traffic Alert: Cherohala Skyway Temporary Closure 🚧

Attention travelers: Due to a serious accident, the Cherohala Skyway is temporarily closed between mile markers 9 and 10 on the Tennessee side. While areas leading up to this location remain open, traffic cannot pass through the accident site at this time.

We anticipate this closure will affect traffic for the next few hours. Please plan accordingly and exercise caution while traveling in the area.

We'll provide updates as soon as they become available. Stay safe, everyone!

Green Cove Angler Store & Lodge recieved the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce TOURISM AWARD, sponsored by Monroe County Tourism, tonight at the annual awards soirée.

We are BEYOND honored to receive this award.

The Crowe family opened the Green Cove Camp Store, 60 years ago, in 1964; it has been our privilege to carry on the tradition of providing a haven for trout fishing and rest alongside the Tellico River.

It’s our joy to serve you all!

A beast of a rainbow caught by Shane Boyd!

The morning of the recent flooding a Green Cove resident attempted to come down the mountain to travel to work (he had to turn back around due to rock slide). He was able to capture this video of Bald River Falls. We recieved 9+ inches of rain in a short amount of time! Nature is powerful. We are remaining closed until further notice. Thankfully power and water were restored quickly to our area. We just await road improvements. Prayers for all individuals and businesses impacted by this weather. I know the area of Tellico appreciated all the prayers and support provided!

Bald River Bridge is OPEN. Come drive River Road and enjoy the Cherokee National Forest.
