New to our Humidor from La Flor Dominicana 'Solis". First there was the night, then there was the day. While that’s not really how most people think of it, that has been the order for La Flor Dominicana. In 2015, the company released La Nox, a project developed by Tony Gomez. Last year, Litto Gomez Jr., Tony’s younger brother, released his first commercial blend, Solis.
While the box was unique, the graphics and font are what really set the release apart for me: stark, clear and dynamic. Even if “La Nox” doesn’t scream “nighttime” to you, the packaging made it quite clear what this cigar was celebrating. Gomez Jr.’s release is called Solis, a reference to sol, the Spanish word for “sun.” It is a 6 1/2 x 50 toro extra that uses an Ecuadorian Habano leaf for the wrapper, the binder an Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf, while the filler is Dominican and comes from La Flor Dominicana’s La Canela farm. This cigar is full of flavor and body. A great afternoon medium bodied smoke that will wow any cigar aficionado. Come and get yours today.

This Saturday, April 1st. from 2:00-6:00pm we will be running a fundraiser for a great customer and friend Father Victor Van Pelt to help support his kids Naomi & Cal in helping get them to band camp. Father Vic's friends and family have cooked up some great food that will be available for purchase and 100% of all the proceeds will go to this great cause. Edward's will be donating a portion of all sales this upcoming Saturday to help. Come out and eat some food, have a cigar and know your helping one of our own Cigar family members. Father Vic has helped so many and now it time to pay it forward. Hope to see you here.

New to our Humidor. The EPC Allegiance. A collaboration between Oliva Ci**rs and Ernesto Perez-Carrillo of EPC Ci**rs. This dark box pressed cigar is made in the Oliva factory in Nicaragua using Oliva's to***co's, however blended by Ernesto. From the first pull you notice layers of flavors notably a sweet and spicy undertone with a slight peppery finish. on Friday March 3rd after his funeral mass at Christ the King Catholic Church. For those that knew him stop by and smoke a cigar and pay your respects to our great friend and customer.

We lost a good one this past weekend. Rufus Williams III, was a friend to all who knew him. He was a customer that enjoyed a fine cigar and all the camaraderie and friendship that went with it. He would regale us with his stories of growing up in Arkansas and his fishing and hunting trips in Africa, Alaska and beyond. He was a person that never met a stranger and enjoyed his life to the fullest. You were a better person for just knowing him. I am saddened that I will never see him again. I know he is in heaven holding court and smoking a fine cigar with friends. My condolences to his wife and family. May his memory live on through all the great stories he told and the great friendships he made. I have posted below his Funeral details for anyone that might want to attend and pay their respects.

New to our Humidor My Father, "The Judge". This cigar s rolled with a light-brown, Sumatra-seed wrapper from Ecuador, Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo binders, and filler to***cos that were cultivated from three of the Garcias family’s farms located in Nicaragua: La Bonita Two, El Pedrero and San Rafael. “According to José Ortega, vice president of sales for My Father, the name was inspired by a friend of the Garcia family who is a judge. The Judge, he says, is more full bodied than the original My Father, however full of outstanding flavor and taste. Come on down and try one today. 😎
