Tomorrow (June 11) at noon CWA members and allies will take a stand against racism by doing what union members do best when demanding justice: Stopping Work.

We are asking all CWA members to stop and reflect for 8 minutes and 46 seconds to remember the length of time the Minneapolis police officer had his knee on George Floyd’s neck.

IMPORTANT: Contact your shop stewards or local officers for information on what actions will be taking place at your work location.

CWA has negotiated a special COVID-19 bonus of 20% for *ALL* CWA members in *ALL* titles (inside and outside) who work for both AT&T Core.

03/25/2020

📣 ‼️BREAKING NEWS‼️ 📣

CWA has negotiated a special COVID-19 bonus of 20% for *ALL* CWA members in *ALL* titles (inside and outside, nationwide) who work for AT&T!

This includes AT&T Core (Core means *all* titles in all wireline contracts, including Appendix A and Appendix E), AT&T Mobility (Mobility means *all* titles in all wireless contracts), AT&T Legacy T (Legacy T means *all* titles nationwide), AT&T National Internet Center (means *all* titles in the NIC), and AT&T Legacy T Puerto Rico (means *all* titles at Legacy T in PR).

DETAILS: Effective March 25th, the “COVID-19 AT&T U.S. Cash Award Program” will take effect, and a 20% bonus above the regular hourly base rate of pay will be applied for *all* hours worked, whether worked at your normal work location (in the field, in an office, in a store, or wherever you normally work), or worked from home. The bonus will be included in your regular rate of pay for purposes of calculating overtime rates.

EXAMPLE:

Hourly Wage Rate = $10.00 per hour
20% bonus per hour = $2.00 per hour
Total new base wage = $12.00 per hour

In this example, $12.00 per hour becomes your new Base Wage as it applies to the “COVID-19 AT&T U.S. Cash Award Program”. Time and one half (1-1/2) would now become $18.00 per hour ($12.00/hour plus $6.00/hour = $18.00 per hour).

➡️ THIS BONUS IS THE RESULT OF CWA’S NEGOTIATIONS WITH AT&T, AS WE BELIEVE *ALL* OF OUR MEMBERS—REGARDLESS OF YOUR JOB TITLE OR WHERE YOU WORK—SHOULD RECEIVE EXTRA PAY WHILE WORKING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.

We appreciate and value all of our members who are working during this pandemic. THANK YOU for all you do!! 👏🏽

CWA AND AT&T HAVE COME TO A TENTATIVE AGREEMENT

🛑 CWA Reaches Tentative Agreement with AT&T West Core (wireline) 🛑

Contract covers more than 13,000 workers in California and Nevada

Friday, March 20, 2020

San Ramon, Calif. -- The Communications Workers of America (CWA) bargaining team has reached a tentative agreement with AT&T on a new four-year contract for AT&T West workers. The CWA AT&T West contract covers technicians, call center customer support workers, and administrative staff in California and Nevada.

The tentative agreement provides for pay raises, affordable healthcare, and increased pension benefits. It also maintains existing job offer guarantee provisions in the event of layoffs.

"I am proud of our CWA bargaining team for negotiating a strong contract, under difficult circumstances, that protects good, family-supporting jobs in California and Nevada,” said CWA District 9 Vice President Frank Arce. "CWA members are out there every day installing, maintaining, and supporting critical communications services so businesses can continue operations and customers can stay in contact with their loved ones. Our member mobilization meant that our bargaining team had the support they needed to win a fair agreement well before the current contract expired."

Details of the proposed contract will be provided to local leadership as soon as practicable based on the current conditions, and a ratification vote will be held once the members have an opportunity to review the details of the agreement. If ratified, the new contract will go into effect on April 5, 2020.
