We never know when we may be in need of emergency transportation!! Many don’t even realize there’s a helipad behind the Trailhead restroom building for helicopter landings during emergencies. The local Boy Scouts have made it their philanthropy project to repair and rebuild the LCB helipad. Cost of this project is north of $3K. This is 100% funded thru donations. Please stop by the lake store and help fill the Boy Scouts’ donation jar to help offset the cost of this much needed project. Always remember….hundred of people working together cannot lose!!!! Thanks to Blackjack Campground’s own Ricky (Yubba) Freeman for heading up this great project! Much of the prep work has already been done by the scouts and their parents. The final step is the pouring of the new concrete! Stop by anytime and check out their work!! Drop off a check, run your card, just a little cash, everything is greatly helpful! Our sweet friend, Kerri Powell from Blackjack Cove, has returned home!!! A tough couple of weeks in San Antonio battling cancer and she’s been a champ!!! If you see Kerri or Gary, give em a hug, it’s been a battle!!! Nothing better than seeing one of our own back home and doing well! We love you and we’re cheering for you!🙌🙏🏼❤️

Words can’t emphasize the damages when nature blew thru the lake last night. Some areas looked like a war zone! Many thanks to the utility companies for working all night to get power back on and many thanks to the BEST lake services crew in America. These guys have worked since daylight with a smile on their face to start getting things cleaned up so this weekend and next week’s holiday customers can still enjoy a beautiful environment!! Hats off to the entire crew!! and man were we glad to see all that rain that brought the lake up another half foot

Jesse’s Landing was a very popular place and a big hit this first holiday weekend for our friends to enjoy a shady spot to have pizza parties, drink a cold beverage, and watch all the NCAA softball super regionals!! Even our fearless policeman, Aaron Spears, was spotted enjoying supper on the deck! Thanks to all that came out. This lake was outstanding this weekend!!🙌😋❤️🌭🍻
