One taste of A Midwinter Night’s Dram alongside a cozy fire will surely transport you to a dreamlike state. This limited release whiskey is a sumptuous marriage of High West’s Rendezvous Rye finished in both port and French oak barrels. The rye forms a beautiful base of vanilla, caramel and cinnamon; the port barrels enhance with plums and dried fruits; the French oak provides a spice accent. For us, A Midwinter Night’s Dram tastes like a proper Christmas plum pudding with lovely mulling spices, dried fruits, and crème anglaise.

Nose: Poached pears, dried cherry, star anise, nutmeg, spiced Christmas cookie, dark chocolate mocha, cinnamon ginger cake, leaves on the forest floor

Taste: Abounding with fig, cranberry, dark plum jam on rye toast, gingerbread, sipping chocolate, brandied cherries, winter-spiced mocha, French oak spice

Finish: Luxardo® cherry at the bottom of a Manhattan cocktail

The seventh chapter in the Little Book Whiskey series, “In Retrospect” offers any curious whiskey drinker a chance to explore where American Whiskey can go by looking back to where it’s been.

Now, with six chapters written, the seventh chapter of Little Book pushes the story ahead, building on what’s come before in ways not yet seen. Little Book Chapter 7 is a blend of seven different liquid streams, blending one liquid from each of the previous chapters, then adding a record seventh. “In Retrospect” is a nod to the past but also sets the course for what’s next.

Each spring and fall, a new edition to the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond series is released. Inspired by an original 1950s Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter, the packaging and series honor both the history of the Old Fitzgerald brand and the historic Bottled-in-Bond designation. An impressive 10-year-old whiskey that is a reminder of how great decade-old whiskey can be.

Color: Bright burnished copper

Nose: Brown sugar and molasses; light baking spices with orange peel

Palate: Very soft and gentle on the palate; notes of butterscotch and subtle oak with baking spices, particularly cloves

Finish: Long and warm with some tannins and a peppery tingle; finally, a hint of barrel char at the very end

Stagg Kentucky Straight Bourbon Batch 23B 127.8 Proof

Stagg Jr Bourbon is an impressive bourbon that comes in different proofs by batch. This profound bourbon is named to commemorate Master Distiller George T. Stagg and is produced at the award-winning Buffalo Trace Distillery.

It is produced from Mash Bill #1, like other great blends such as Eagle Rare, E.H. Taylor, and Elmer T. Lee. It is a sour mash bill of corn, rye, and malted barley, which has a lower content of rye, than Mash Bill #2.

This bourbon is rich and fragrant with bright bursts of sweet, chocolate, and brown sugar aromas that mingle in perfect harmony with the bold rye spiciness. The finish lingers with hints of cherries, cloves, and smokiness.

This 14-year-old whiskey is a unique balance of age and flavor. This remarkable blend combines remaining stocks of Barterhouse, Forged Oak, and various Rhetoric releases with rye and corn whiskies, resulting in a distinct character and charisma that honors the original releases.

The profile is both robust and unique, featuring creamy vanilla and caramel notes, punctuated by bold rye spice and hints of cinnamon, balanced by delicate fruit flavors and a smooth, syrupy mouthfeel.

This was bottled at 90 proof. Fable & Folly takes on a light, polished copper appearance in the glass.

"Finally, we got our hands on the great Bomberger"

This 2023 release continues the Bomberger’s tradition of offering bold and beautiful 108-proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon with a rich and layered complexity due to a portion of the bourbon being aged in Chinquapin (Quercus muehlenbergii) oak. The Chinquapin oak utilized for the aging was naturally air-dried and seasoned for three years before being toasted and charred to the exacting specifications of our Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson. In addition, some malted rye was used in the production of this bourbon.

This is a bold and rich whiskey featuring its signature fruit and spice coupled with rich molasses and a complex, lingering finish that gives you something to savor.
