FOR RENT - $1500

We're going to be making repairs over the next month and then will be looking for someone to rent the store.

NOTE: We're only going to consider renting to someone that is going to make the store back into a convenience store for the community. Unless you all speak up saying that something different would better serve the needs of the community.

- Flooring Company
- Plumbers
- Concrete & Concrete finishing companies
- People that work on building exteriors (thinking about a little stone work around the base of the building to clean up the exterior)

I would rather use local or somewhat local people if possible but will accept any reference of someone you believe and trust in.

Good morning everyone

The very front of the store is going to be open today from noon to 5 while we make a few repairs and get a few bids from contractors.

I will be there to meet all of you as well and talk about what you all want to see the store become, what are you most interested in seeing us stock at the store. It has to remain retail but what is it that every feels best meets their, and the communities, needs.

Does anyone know of a company locally that does this type of concrete work? The stores floors are all concrete and I would absolutely LOVE to do this to them if price isn't too outrageous.

The kids in the video came forward yesterday just 2 hours after this post went up and all of you started sharing it YOU ALL ARE AMAZING!! They showed up today as promised to meet with myself and the Stafford County detective at the store again and they, as I hoped, didn't have any priors and I held up to my end and didn't press charges and they immediately paid for the window that was broken. Just young kids breaking into what they thought was an abandoned building is what it boiled down to.

I also want to say a huge Thank You to Stafford County Sheriff's department. They had no idea I was working this from my side and came to me first thing this morning with all their names and history on them before I had a chance to call them to tell them we had a 4 PM meeting set up. The detective that contacted me this morning meet with us at the store at 4 to have a talk with the kids and confirm their information. I especially want to thank the Sheriff's Department for allowing me the flexibility to handle this the way I wanted to, they didn't have to they could have pressed charges on their own if they would have chose to but they allowed me to make the call.

Hopefully the next time I see these kids it will be as patrons to the store.

What a great SURPRISE we got today! Beanz BBQ Co. said that with all the great support Ed was going to go ahead and offer Brisket today and tomorrow both! I know that they started the cooking last night so get in there and get it before it's gone. :)

I"m excited about the new menu from Beanz BBQ Co. They will be there every day this week and adding brisket every Friday. They may start spending a little time on route 1, don't let them leave us. Visit them and make it hard for them to leave us. :)

Beanz BBQ Co. is only going to be offering lunch today so come and get it before it's gone! They will not be returning to the store until Monday the 14th but will be increasing their menu items and will have the ability to then take credit card payments. Excited to see them growing and grateful for all of your continued support.

Hey everyone! Good afternoon! Just wanted to let everyone know that I am now able to take Credit Cards as of Monday August 14th. This will make life much easier for all the Stafford commuters and Brooke Store visitors.
On Monday the 14th we as well will have more items on a daily basis. Green Beans, Baked Beans, Sweet Corn, Mustard Potato Salad, Old Fashioned Macaroni Salad, Pasta Salad, Collard Greens. On Thursday and Fridays, I will have a limited amount of Texas Style Beef Brisket and Beef Ribs. Be on the lookout for Bacon Wrapped Smoked Meatloaf and Smoked Prime Rib as well as Stuffed Smoked Peppers and Smoked Loaded Baked Potatoes.

Well if you blinked you missed it! Sold out in 1.5 hours today. Ed of Beanz BBQ Co. said he's headed home and will be putting tomorrow brisket on around 8 this evening to slow cook for tomorrows crowd. He also said he's going to increase the amount of food he has on hand for next week so that he can try better to feed those that get home a little later in the evening.

What a great turn out yesterday, let's see if we can keep it going again today! They said they will be cooking up more food this evening in hopes to have food for the people getting off the 6:30 train.

Today 4pm to 7pm - St Louis Style Ribs ($10) or Chicken Quarters ($8) w/ Potato Salad & Blazin Beans

Tomorrow - Texas Style Brisket - It's Friday and why not treat yourself for making it through another tough week!

Ed from Beanz BBQ Co. asked me to thank everyone that came buy today. He said he sold out of pulled pork and almost all ribs as well. He mentioned everyone treated him great and he can't wait till next time.

If you all have any suggestions for him on what to prepare, local favorites maybe, or possibly what he could do to better serve you please feel free to leave a comment. He seems very eager to please the community and make this a regular stop for he and his wife.
