For this evening’s Tuesday Night Wine Tasting, our friends at Tavolo Vigneto are taking us back to Italy with special guests, Lorenzo Cassina and Guiseppe Delmastro, from the Alto Piemonte Region! Alto Piemonte, or “High Piedmont,” is a picturesque region nestled at the base of the Italian Alps. This area, known for its high altitude is celebrated for its distinctive terroirs and high-quality Nebbiolo.

Lorenzo Cassina will be presenting his family’s wines from Pietro Cassina Winery:

The Pietro Cassina Winery is a family-run estate located in Lessona, a small town in the province of Biella, in the northeast of Piedmont, Italy. The winery covers about 7 hectares of vineyards, that have been in the Cassina family for several generations. Pietro Cassina, along with his wife and children, personally leads the winery, continuing the tradition of producing high-quality wines while respecting nature and traditions.

Guiseppe Delmastro will be presenting the selections from Poderi Garona Winery:

The Poderi Garona Winery, located in Boca, Piedmont, dates back to the great-grandfather Daniele Duella, who started the family tradition. This legacy was carried on by his son, Luigi, a skilled winemaker and cellarman. After Luigi’s passing, the family transformed what was once a full-time job into a passion, leading to the abandonment of some vineyards and the downsizing of others. Driven by a desire to preserve the family’s legacy, the current generation has continued to acquire and restore vineyards, gradually expanding the winery’s operations.

Join us from 5:30 to 7:30 pm to meet Lorenzo and Guiseppe, and to taste these beautiful Alta Piemonte wines! No reservations are needed for this free tasting; however, we kindly ask that you purchase a drink or a bottle to-go during your visit. Cheers!
