To those who have supported us since 2019, we thank you!

Our time as a venue space has been a blessing to us as a business and a family. We have been able to experience with you memories, milestones, and once-in-a-lifetime occasions.
As many of you may have heard, The Local on Laurel will no longer be Effingham’s premier venue space but is now going to be home to Spirits on Laurel. As we enter 2023, we have the opportunity to rent the space to what we hope will become a wonderful addition to our community.

As always, we appreciate the opportunity to give back to this wonderful place we call home. We are grateful for your continued support in the endeavor to make Springfield a place everyone wants to call home!

The Local on Laurel

The Local on Laurel contains 5800 total square feet with the capacity to hold up to 325 people for seated dining for any event. It is climate controlled, with four spacious rest rooms, a large prep area with a roll-up door, encouraging accessibility for vendors and the caterer of your choice.

Inside, The Local on Laurel features a modern black and white design with large arched windows, high ceilings and 22 large crystal chandeliers. Our lighting offers unlimited options and thoughtful electrical design encourages large bands and special effects. The venue offers a large bar that features black wood and modern elements.

The classic design makes the Local on Laurel a versatile canvas for events. Whether decor includes romantic floral arrangements or edgy accessories, you can easily transform the space to set the tone for your event. If you need assistance planning your party, or a little muscle on the big day, our experienced staff is available to help you create the perfect celebration.
