Friday Night in Frederick MD Viniferous: World Wines & Craft Beers will play host to Paul Direder for a very special tasting of these fantastic Austrian wines from one of Wagram's up & coming stars!

Saturday Night Viniferous: World Wines & Craft Beers welcomes back Maarten Luyckx! Luke was on the Cahors Malbec association trip over ten years ago that introduced us to the fantastic wines of Château Famaey.

It's time for some wine and a movie. But we are not talking netflix and chill here; we mean luxury leather reclining seats, a Tribecca award winning Fan favorite documentary, gourmet food and wine from one of the stars of the movie! In fact Tinashe Nyumudoka, the winemaker will be in the audience and sticking around for a Q&A wine tasting after the movie!

Blind Ambition, a 2021 Tribeca Film Festival Premier, is the story of four Zimbabwean Sommeliers who form their country's first Wine Tasting Olympics team to compete in the World Wine Blind Tasting Championship.

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Tinashe Nyumudoka, moved to South Africa for better economic prospects. Without any prior experience in wine, his journey took him from waiter to head sommelier of Africa’s most lauded restaurant, The Test Kitchen, and also respected wine judge on international competitions.
Having fallen head over heels for wine, the ache to try his own hand at winemaking could not be resisted. A friendship with Attie Louw, a winemaker from the family estate Opstal in the Slanghoek valley, led to the opportunity for Tinashe to create his own wines and in 2017 Kumusha wines was founded. Kumusha wines focus on classic South African varieties with a nod to emerging wine growing areas within the Western Cape.
Meet Tinashe and sample his Kumusha Wines during a special film screening with wine tasting and Q & A session.

BIG Cork Vineyards will offer outdoor bottle sales and limited outdoor seating for guests everyday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, on a first come, first served basis. By the way – we have wi-fi.

Come enjoy our socially-distanced porches, patios and lawn area with your favorite BIG Cork wine. Bring your own glasses and corkscrew, or purchase them on-site in our retail boutique. Only groups of no more than 6 people can be accommodated in our outdoor seating areas.
