Calling all bourbon hunters!!!

Booze Clues presents…

Roll out the Barrel (a not-so traditional bourbon hunt)

You will be looking for an item that allows you to claim one of the allocated bottles. Please refrain from looking unless you plan on purchasing them. I will post 5 clues Friday, July 26th at 5:00pm. Each clue will tell you which bottle(s) you are looking for and give hints on where to look. There is no registration for this event.

Roll out the Barrel event allocated bottles:
2-Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year 750ml ($109.99)
1-Van Winkle 12 year 750ml ($129.99)
1-Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel 750ml ($49.99)
1-Caribou Crossing 750ml ($61.99)
1-Blanton’s Original 750ml ($74.99)
1-Blanton’s Gold 750ml ($139.99)

Official Rules:
1. All claims will be hidden on public land within Eagan city limits.
3. Instructions to claim will reside with hide.
2. Limited to one claim per hunter.
3. Finders will have to purchase the bottle they claim.
4. Must be 21 years of age to purchase any items at Big Discount Liquor.
5. Will not be hidden within any body of water, on or near dangerous cliffs.
6. Will not be hidden higher than 5 feet off the ground.
7. Hunt terminates when all claims have been made. Updates will be posted on the Big Discount Liquor-Eagan page.

Congratulations to Josh Ellingson in the Hunter Lottery. One of the eight hunters that took their shot at the ball.

All 8 tokens were hidden in the southern most section of Kaposia Landing. They were hidden in a small wooded area just off trail between the Mississippi River and train tracks.

Here are the explanations for the Hunter Lottery clues...

Clue 1
They did it! We’re on top! Clinched our spot.
We won’t be missing the playoffs this year.
Team more revered, a little more feared
Time has been extended for all to cheer.

Show your pride. You ready for the ride?
For the trip might cost you some loaves.
Where you going, looking for that token?
Word on the street is…Chuck knows!

Explanations:
Missing=The Mississippi River
Ride, Street=References for the historic streetcar monorail of South St. Paul. There is a plaque in the south area of Kaposia Landing. Tokens were hidden just south of this plaque.
Cost you some loaves=Another reference to the plaque. It says that riding the monorail was equivalent to the price of a couple loaves of bread.
Chuck knows!=Charles W Clark, he was the first mayor of South Park. Which is the area around nearest to Kaposia Landing.

Clue 2
We’re talent packed, with roster stacked
Kendricks and Hicks will back that line!
Cook can wreak, and Jefferson is a freak.
Harrison Smith shows almost no decline.

In addition to our aces, came fresh faces
The new head coach is defying the odds.
Uniting the team, KOC is living his dream.
Winning and showing true Viking facade.

Explanations:
If you take the roster numbers from the listed players
Erik Kendricks-54, Jordan Hicks-58, Dalvin Cook-4, Justin Jefferson-18, Harrison Smith-22
Add them all up and you get 156. Highway 156 is Concord Blvd which runs near the spot.
Unite=Union Pacific Railroad
Vikings Facade=Viking Exteriors. Located on Concord Blvd just across Concord from where the tokens were hidden.

Clue 3
Conducting the train, a kin with chains!
Under center, Cousins, calls for the skin.
Our leader throwing darts to receivers
Behind our own Galiazzo-we can win!

And though we know of prime-time woes
Ever since RGIII to the Minnesota pivot.
Boy with cart, and man of stone, had part
Once swapping him in at the last minute.

Explanation:
Train=trains and train tracks
Center=Central Ave
Behind, Galiazzo=Marco Galiazzo is a world famous archer. Tokens were located behind Archer Exteriors on Concord Blvd.
Boy with Cart, Man of stone=Cartman, Matt Stone of South Park. This would reference the South Park area of South St. Paul. South Park episode "Go Fund Yourself' has a cameo of Kirk Cousins.

Booze Clues Mini-The Danielle Hunter Lottery
Where: South St. Paul
When: December 28th, 2022-December 31st, 2022
What: Treasure Hunt
Details:
-Claim 1 of 8 hidden tokens. (Limit one token and entry per finder.)
-Tokens will be hidden at a location within South St. Paul public land.
-Use clues posted daily at 9:00am in order to find location. Clues will post to Big Discount Liquor-SSP on facebook, and within the Big Discount Liquor South St. Paul location.
-All claimed tokens will be entered into lottery for a Danielle Hunter
Autographed Football (with certificate of authenticity).
-All tokens not found by 11:59pm 12/31 will become void, and only claimed token will be entered into lottery. Lottery will be held on January 1st, 2023.
