Chaucer’s Sparkling Mead has a whole new look! Our first ever canned product has a pronounced flavor profile of honey, with aromatics of honey, orange and very mild ginger. We used organic honey sourced from hives in the Southeastern part of the Brazilian Rainforest to produce this fabulous beverage.

We hope to have our cans available to buy for our local Chaucer’s customers and for out-of-state distributors as soon as possible. Our 250mL cans come in a 12-pack for your enjoyment!

A little insight into our labels and BARGETTO history from local Santa Cruz Artist and CHAUCER'S label designer Ed Penniman.

A short excerpt from artist, Ed Penniman describing his work experience with Larry Bargetto:
Remembering Larry Bargetto, Ed Penniman reflects, "I can vividly picture him in my mind's eye wearing his matching green pants, jacket and bill cap smoking an Antony and Cleopatra cigar, with a twinkle in his blue eyes. I spent many hours with Larry in his little smoke filled office discussing art, Saint Thomas Aquinas, philosophy and creative vision. He told me that in wine marketing the product should include "fantazia" or fantasy. I have maintained that philosophy in my design concepts for more than forty years with BargettoWinery and his succeeding generations."
