Chaucer’s Hot Spiced or ‘Mulled’ Mead is a delicious drink that can be enjoyed served hot to warm you up on cold winter days.

When you purchase Chaucer’s Award-Winning Mead, the enclosed Spice Pack makes it easy to make this concoction at home. Simply heat every 750ml bottle with each included Spice Pack to a temperature just below boiling. Once it’s hot, reduce heat and serve immediately.

Stop by either of Bargetto Winery's two Tasting Rooms in Soquel and Monterey to enjoy hot spiced mead through the holiday season. Reservations for wine tasting are required, so please call the Tasting Room ahead of time to make a reservation.

Chaucer's Mead is produced utilizing fresh honey without the addition of artificial flavorings, concentrates or artificial colorings. Chaucer's Mead can be enjoyed in 1 of 2 ways, either chilled or heated with spices to create a delicious wintery drink.

Chaucer’s Sparkling Mead has a whole new look! Our first ever canned product has a pronounced flavor profile of honey, with aromatics of honey, orange and very mild ginger. We used organic honey sourced from hives in the Southeastern part of the Brazilian Rainforest to produce this fabulous beverage.

We hope to have our cans available to buy for our local Chaucer’s customers and for out-of-state distributors as soon as possible. Our 250mL cans come in a 12-pack for your enjoyment!
