Typical of heirloom rye, the Balboa grain is a little smaller than modern varieties, with a lower output per acre of planting -- but it's no less flavorful for that! Our Balboa Rye whiskey offers shimmering notes of spiced fruit unique.

Nose: Clean ripe oak, controlled & even. WIth time, develops waxy/honeyed (yet not sweet) fruits. Water yields colorful (black-blue-red skinned) rye fruits and spice

Taste: Rounded and full-bodied, midpalate of spiced fruit compote

Finish: Very long and simply gorgeous, as the fruits are subtly shaded with many spices (clove, wintergreen, nutmeg)

Strange Collaboration

Strange collaboration is a blend of Kentucky Straight bourbon (aged between 2-6 yrs.), selected for low fusel oil content and light body, finished for 3 months in Strange Family French Oak pinot noir casks, and bottled at 99 proof.

Three Chord Bourbon with Goodwood brewing

A barrel tour that lasted for more than twelve months between Kentucky Goodwood’s locations and Michigan’s Three Chord homestead... The result is a deep oak and buttery caramel goodness with chocolate malty notes surrounded by warm oak with a rich mouthfeel, followed by a long finish of malty molasses and to***co notes. The final and bottled result is a blend of fifteen, seven and six year old Kentucky bourbons with 55.5% abv.
