The Cross Makers of Seward celebrated an evening of fellowship and entertainment Thursday, December 14 at Harvest Hall.
Over 60 volunteers and their guests enjoyed a delicious meal catered by Sparetime Lounge while listening to the wonderful music of the Seward County Ukuladies.

The volunteers have made more the 158,000 crosses since 2010. With proceeds from the sale of crosses, Cross Makers of Seward has donated over $320,600 to Seward area families,
Organizations, and students in the form of scholarships.

We are saddened to inform you that Clayton Kent, the Founder of The Cross Makers of Seward, passed away over the weekend. He was a wonderful, kind, funny, smart man. Our sincere condolences go out to his family. We will miss him greatly, and will do our best to keep his cross making dream alive. All of us are greatly appreciative of his vision which began in 2010 to make and distribute crosses around the world. Thank you for everything Clayton.

Clayton Dale Kent was born on May 6, 1934, in Hastings, Nebraska to George and Nellie Serl Kent and passed away on April 16, 2023, in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 10 days. Clayton grew up in Hastings, Nebraska and graduated from Hastings High

COME JOIN US! We're looking for volunteers to work with us in making palm crosses and enjoying delicious coffee breaks. No experience necessary. Ages 16-116 welcome.
