Brotte 2023 Tavel Rosé • Southern Rhône, France • Reg $23.99 | Mixed Case $19.19

Grenache/Syrah. Deep, jewel-pink color – classic Tavel. Aromas of black currants, dark raspberries, a note of strawberries, and herbal notes. Finish has sautéed cranberries. Wonderful acidity. Fuller-bodied, but fresh & dry! Great wine.

So fun to have Tavel in stock. As we hit salmon season.... perfect!

Pertinace 2021 Barbera D'Alba • Piedmont, Italy • Reg $22.99 | Mixed Case $18.39

Just in from northwest Italy, foothills of the Alps! 100% Barbera. Herbal notes on the nose with blue & black fruit. Flavors of dark chocolate, espresso then the acidity kicks in, and the fruits shows up: dark plums, blackberries. Fresh finish. Beautiful wine. A little spicy. Yum.

Top Pick • April 2025:

Castello di Bossi 2022 Chianti Classico • Tuscany, Italy • Reg $23.99 | Mixed Case $19.19

Organic Sangiovese. Nose of dried cherries, red plums and herbs. Beautiful Tuscan nose. Flavors of red & black cherries, dark plums followed by orange zest acidity. Herbal, mineral notes return on the finish. Superb classic Chianti from southernmost Chianti (so a tiny bit warmer). Such a well-made wine.

Our pairing: spicy pork, garlic, kale, chickpeas with lot of lemon juice & lemon zest (so pretty fresh & acidic) over pasta. The acidity & the medium-body of the Chianti was a perfect match.

Grenache 50%, Syrah 35%, Mourvèdre 15% from the the sub-region of Corbières. Dark red fruit, mainly raspberries. Really herbal & spicy on the nose. Flavors are fruity — strawberry, raspberry jam but not sweet. Fuller-bodied. Great acidity. Blackberries on the back palate. Fine tannins. Long spicy finish. Great food wine. Grilled meats, pizza, burgers.

100% Garnacha. Estate old vines pictured. Big nose of red plums & earth. Complex. Flavors curve around a little bit... back to traditional Grenache: strawberries, raspberries, plums, red cherries. But not a fruit bomb. Complex. Thoughtful. Long finish. Killer wine.

Fun blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Muscadelle & Sémillon from the gravely vineyards of Entre-Deux-Mers. White peach, citrus, soft grapefruit, honeydew. Lots of pink grapefruit, lemon on the palate. Super balanced. Laser beam acidity. Lively, peppery finish. Hard to put down.

New Rosé from Bandol!

Chateau Pradeaux 2022 Bandol Rosé • Provence, France • Reg $31.99 | Mixed Case $25.59

Classic blend of Mourvèdre & Cinsault from the sub-region of Bandol. Earthy, wild strawberries on the nose, touch of raspberries. Flavors = strawberry compote (but not sweet). Roasted grapefruit on the finish. Rich body for rosé. We enjoyed with a grilled sirloin steak.

Don't mind the vintage. Bandol is the crème de la crème of French rosé, and they get better for several years after bottling.

New from Friuli, northeast Italy on border to Slovenia!

Marco Felluga 2022 Bianco • Friuli, Italy • Reg $19.99 | Mixed Case $15.99

Chardonnay, Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Pinot Grigio. Classic house. Nobel family. Dates back to 1800's. They make Pinot Grigio in the $40 range. Minerals & earth on the nose in a super inviting way. Stones, pebbles, soil. Some white flowers. Just a hint of orchard fruit. Taste = apples, earthy notes, minerals, then crunchy pears. Citrus on the finish. (Note of salinity on the finish?? Jules says yes.)

Pairings? Oysters, fish, roasted chicken, pork roast, raclette, or just sip this wonderful wine & enjoy!

New Southern Rhône white blend!

André Brunel 2021 Côtes du Rhône Blanc • Southern Rhône, France • Reg $23.99 | Mixed Case $19.19

Terrific blend of Roussanne 70%, Grenache Blanc 15%, Clairette Blanche 15%. White flowers on the nose with lots stone fruits & orchard fruits.

Flavors of ripe apples, peach, honeydew melon, with citrus to the finish. Well-done. Elegant. For a white Rhône, it's on the lighter side (but still medium-bodied compared to most whites).

Yummy, easy-drinking wine.

Just in from France's Southern Rhône:

Domaine de Janasse 2021 Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge • Southern Rhône, France • Reg $29.99 | Mixed Case $23.99

Grenache 40%, Syrah 30%, Mourvèdre 30%. Vineyard south of Châteauneuf-du-Pape (where the winery is located).

Nose is incredible: garrigue, pebbles, dark raspberries & some strawberries.

Flavors are amazing: adding in blackberries, black cherries, dark plums + a little note of red currant on the finish. Fuller-bodied. Acidity is great — goes all the way through.

This wine is a CDRV on steroids. Mini-Châteauneuf for sure!!
