We'll be pouring Triennes wines made by this trio this Sat. May 31, part of our regular Saturday free tastings.
French Burgundy OGs Jacques Seysses, left, founder of Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaine, right, co-owner of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, along with good friend Michel Macaux, were convinced that great wines could be produced in Provence, France, in the Var, an area better known for quaffable rosés than complex, world-class reds and whites. So they purchased an estate in 1989.
As evidenced by the rave reviews from the press and trade, their efforts have been successful. Over the years, Triennes has been transformed from a neglected parcel in an obscure, little regarded region into one of the top wine producing estates in Southern France.
We’ll be offering a rotating selection of Triennes wines throughout the day, from 11:00 – 5:30, at both the Ravenna and Queen Anne shops.
Hope to see you soon!
