This Saturday we're hosting Nick Baingo, one of our British Columbian neighbors and co-founder of Umami Bomb, for a tasting of their shiitake chili oils! Fun fact: the term "umami" comes from the Japanese word for "pleasant savory taste." Nick says that some consider umami to be our 5th taste sensation - after it's better-known cousins sweet, sour, salty, and bitter. 😁 Be sure to stop by the store between 10am and 2pm for a taste!
