Today is the day! Stop on down if you can and help us celebrate 55 years in business. We will have cupcakes and candy, a free Orion sticker, a new Orion T-shirt for sale, spend $15 and receive a goodie bag( has a coupon for the shop in it to) and a raffle. Pictured below are the T-shirts and sticker. Also going on today is Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation fall spooktacular around city hall and on Jay street. We will be open 12-6 pm

Continuing along on our journey through the years leading up to our 55th anniversary this Saturday. Last post we left of in 1985. Tonight we are now in 1986. So if you have happened to notice in the photos that we have shared of the building that it is three stories tall and now it is two these pictures will show what happened. April 30 1986 we had a big fire in the building and the 3rd floor was a total loss so down it had to come but like the Phoenix we rose from the ashes anew! Tonight we are still in 1985 but later in the year and Jay street is no longer a drivable street at this point it is in the middle of being turned into the walkway that we have today. Yesterday we posted pictures of when we were first moving into our current location 169 Jay street in 1979. Tonight we have pictures of the outside of our current location. The first two are from right before we moved in. The next to we have just moved in are just started to repaint the outside of the building and the last one is after it's been repainted.
