We dropped off the cans you so generously donated for our chili cook-off

The first time we did a canned food drive it filled one grocery store bag.

This was over 150 pounds (scale pictured with recorded weight including the cart) of food that’s going straight to people who need it and it’s all because of you guys and I will admit here; that moved me very much.

Thank you for buying into our little place thank you for going with the dumb jokes and thanks for your hugs and your patronage. This food is gonna help a lot of people this holiday season

Come see us for your Thanksgiving needs; remember you’re stuck with your family all week. You need to ‘go to the grocery store’…and we’ll keep that on the down low. ;)

The 2nd Annual Blow Your Hole Chili-Cook-off is in the books!!
There were winners. There were losers.

And there were some excellent chilis. And then there was the worst.

Pictured here are several of my excellent bribes. Some aren’t pictured. All were funny but theatre won the day.

Thanks for having fun with us.

We raised well over $400 for , collected a massive box of cans and foodstuffs, and we awarded some super fun prizes and beer from (many thanks )

I am sadly devoid of any more pictures from our event, so please send them over to us!

Some of you may know that for the last several months, we have been hard at work getting White Whale into the position to carry wine, and if you didn’t well surprise!

We now carry wine!

Last week Hunter and Jason braved the city Council meeting to receive our wine license and we will be slowly rolling out some craft wines to accompany our great collection of other beverages!

We have heard the requests from many people over the years and we finally caved out of guilt and desperation!

So over the next few months, we will be rolling out some new products in an effort to explore some fun ideas.

This does not in any way get you off the hook for patronizing some of the best wine-centric place in the neighborhood!

🍷Christian over at has a literal shrine to amazing wine. He’s one of the starland ‘founding fathers’ and White Whale owes a lot to his small business knowledge and earnest and handsome approach to his lovely space.

🍷Ryan and Jason over at have been great friends to us over the years and together they have created a special and cozy place that celebrates community.

🍷And is a simply gorgeous offering with amazing and knowledgeable staff that always makes you feel welcome.

We will never equal or even try to encroach on these gems and they should always be on your short list for truly a unique and wonderful Savannah experience.

A rising tide raises all ships!

We will be rolling out some more wine based offerings over the next few months so keep your eyes and ears peeled.
