Woo Whoo! Officially announcing our used book buy back program!

HOW IT WORKS/WHAT TO EXPECT:
1. Drop off books in a container - like a bag, box, or crate.
2. We’ll give you a card to fill out with your contact information and an estimate on when it will be done processing (please allow for up to 24 hours)
3. We will reach out when processing is done - please return within 2 days for pick up.

What you'll get:
Store Credit - 20% of the cover price for credit that can be used towards all items for sale in the store
OR
Cash - 10% of the cover price for cash (via Venmo or PayPal)

What we are looking for:
We are a small store, so we can’t take everything. What we take may change based on inventory needs in the store, or even the space we have available.

Encyclopedias
readers disgust condensed books
ex-library books
books missing dust jackets
books with excessive writing or highlighting

The Lee County Libraries and the Friends of the Lee County NC Library are hosting our first annual LCL Local Author Festival on Friday, March 15 from 10 AM–4 PM at the Main Library located at 107 Hawkins Ave, Sanford.

Not an author but love to read? Mark your calendars for this day for booklovers! Meet and support local authors at this public event, Our authors will set up tables throughout the library and auditorium so visitors can explore a variety of genres, purchase signed books, and enjoy one-on-one discussions with talented writers.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, this is a great opportunity to connect with local literary talent. All ages welcome, and registration is not required.

Whew! 😅 It’s been a complicated day! If you’ve driven by today you may have noticed that it took longer than expected to get our new equipment inside. Never fear! After we made some adjustments, we were able to get everything in! However, the store isn’t quite customer ready again after all of our struggles 🫣. We need one more day to clean everything back up, so this time for real - We’ll see you all tomorrow!

Alright folks, Voting is LIVE! We have one more Fantasy book club meet up this week (Thursday, Jan 23rd @ 6pm) so we’re kicking off our first virtual voting for our February book pick! You can find a poll on Facebook, Instagram Stories, and StoryGraph (we’ve officially launched the bookclub page!). Vote on all, one, or none of the platforms and we’ll combine votes to finalize the score. Voting ends on Thursday evening at 10pm.
