Tasting requires being open to discovery. In this little lineup we have wines representing very special native grapes from multiple Spanish D.O.s
- Tinto 2019: A blend of Souson, Caino, Brancellao and (a first for us) Ferrol. From , a DO that rests in a region with an interesting mix of cultures and languages, where the confluence of Rivers in the area flowing to the Miño Rover create the valleys and microclimate that favores expressive wines.
- Old Vines Expression 2017: From 35+ y/o vines comes this red blend and f Monastrell, Syrah, and garnacha with significant aging potential. From
- Prieto Picudo Roble 2018: Prieto picudo is a very aromatic red grape that only grows around Leon, in the Northwest of Spain. From
- “Yaso” 2018: Super expressive Tinta de Toro red diverting from the traditional style
- Senda 2016: super interesting story about how this winery came along. This might be the largest single contiguous estate of old vine garnacha vineyards in the Spanish Sierra de agredíos. Assembled in the mid 1990s from 26 small abandoned parcels. From
- Garnacha 2019: Old Vine Garnacha. And when we say Old Vine, we mean OLD. AT LEAST 100 y/o vines at 3,000 ft elevation in a really wild part of Northern Sierra de Gredos. From
- Mencia Joven 2019: Pure Mencía in this young wine with a very pleasant minerally finish. From
