Watch your French wine labels for these changes. These designations refer to the place where the grapes were grown. While they are an indication, there are other important indications affecting quality: specific vineyard, quality of that vineyard (Grand Cru, Premier Cru), estate bottled and more.

Why you may want to subscribe to my service. Today (1-4-18) I visited the 300w store and found 1/2 of the writers' recommendations about wines stated one vintage and the store's wine had another. If there is ANYTHING I have learned about vintages it is they vary, sometimes greatly AND perhaps a new winemaker came on board and switched vinification style.Trust me!! I taste them regardless of what is written.
