Knock your socks off Riesling!!! Honestly I’m at a loss for words with this wine.. Super bright acidity, dry as the day is long. Just stunning and under $30, probably one of the best values in the store.

Today’s pairings for Friday night supper from are a couple of really delicious below the radar wines. Will be a nice addition to your crab cakes! Fraga do Corvo Godello from Galicia, very elegant, great acidity, really just punches above its weight class. The Pot de Vin Red from Chateau Guilhem is a organic red bursting with flavor and of course value, from the South of France. @ Salisbury Wines

Look what we found buried in the cellar!! Domaine Forey Nuits-Saint-Georges 2015. Very complex and rich, this wine was delicious two years ago and I’m really excited to try it now. Wines from NSG tend to be rustic and wild and this one is no different, it also has a beautiful acidity and freshness typical of wines from Forey.

It’s Friday!! Make sure you pick up your Friday Supper and then stop in for a bottle or two of wine. This weeks pairing is L’Umami Pinot Noir from Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Delicious fruit and earthy undertones make this my favorite sub-twenty dollar Pinot in the store. If you are in the mood for a white wine try Jacques Charlet Macon-Villages, straight forward southern Burgundy, ripe citrus and slightly floral, would really elevate your supper. New Rosé alert!! Chateau La Roque Pic St. Loup 2018.. don’t let the color of this 100% direct press Rosé fool you. Great acidity and minerality, Mourvèdre, cinsault, Grenache and Syrah, Demeter certified and imported by Kermit Lynch. This wine checks off all the boxes. You should buy some now and put it in your cellar as this wine is only going to get better as the summer goes on.

Quinta do Romeu Douro Red, a blend of 5 organically farmed grapes from the winery’s own vineyards. This great food wine is nicely balanced and full of character. Bottom line this is Really great Portuguese wine.

March 1st wine, the garden gnome is a nice reminder that Spring is right around the corner. 100% organic Chenin Blanc from the Loire valley, crisp and dry, would pair well with seafood or chicken, but honestly the best pairing for this wine is good company.

It’s back!! Cantina Terlan ‘Vorberg’ Reserva Pinot Blanc.. This is what I’ll be drinking tonight, full bodied, elegant and complex. I usually recommend you buy a bottle but for this beauty you should buy a case!!

Clos des Papes Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2016, Paul Vincent Avril strikes again!! It really doesn’t get much better for CDP. This wine will be drinking well for the next 20 years+ rated 97-100 points but who’s counting. Available in .750 and 1.5L bottles.

This is the perfect early fall wine, bright acidity, dark fruit, slightly spicy.. From an all organic estate in the Loire, the bare minimum amount of sulphuric is used at bottling.

Today in the tasting room Passamante, 100% Negroamaro grown in the Salice-Salentino area of Puglia.. wonderfully rich and dense, well balanced acidity and that sweet spot of 13.5% alcohol. Just lovely. @ Salisbury Wines
