Come out and have some fun! Details on the poster, but for those who have never done a poker run, it's is essentially five stops where you are able to get a playing card. Don't show anyone what cards you have until the last stop when we will reveal who has the best hand of five card poker, with standard poker rules. Although you will spend $100 for all five cards, the price for the best hand will be three full boxes of ci**rs. Worst hand will get a bundle of Nothing Special ci**rs. You will be responsible for getting to the next stop in time to get a card. Car pooling is recommended. Four of the stops are BYOB, except for C&S in Bastrop, where they have their own destilllery and bar with delicious drinks.

Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve Barrel Fermented Ci**rs - Killeen & Salado

Julian Proctor "Pappy" VanWinkle Sr. was a businessman from the start! He is the namesake to the premium bourbon and the cigar by Drew Estate.

In 1893, when he was 18 years old, Van Winkle began working as a salesman for the liquor wholesaler, W.L. Weller & Sons traveling the state of Kentucky by horse and buggy. Fifteen years later, he and another Weller salesman bought the firm. In 1910 they also acquired the A. Ph. Stitzel Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, and merged the two. At the age of 61, Pappy opened the newly completed Stitzel-Weller Distillery in South Louisville. He had a heavy influence on the operations there until his death at the age of 91.

The barrel fermented cigar line was first introduced in 2015 as a collaboration between Pappy VanWinkle and Drew Estate. Thanks to their unique Barrel Fermentation process, where bundles of Kentucky fire-cured to***co are soaked in Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels for 12 to 18 months, Pappy & Company’s premium Barrel Fermented ci**rs feature a unique bourbon influenced flavor profile and aroma!
