Been a few weeks since my last update, but not much has changed over that time until the last few days. I met my podiatrist for a followup and prognosis update. He's encouraged by the healing, the blue bruising around the wound is new tissue, and the tail at the bottom has healed over completely, but he thinks the wound vac needs to remain for a few more weeks at least. He ordered it for another month, but we'll meet in two weeks and see how it's going.
On the bills front, I'm still way behind. I'm trying to get November rent together, waiting on a couple deposits still, but bills still haven't been paid for October. I talked with the electric, garbage/water, and internet providers and made good faith payments to keep things on, but I've got to figure out how to get caught up without being able to stand, walk, or work. Since I'm kind of stuck laid up and off my feet, I've started studying for the Health & Life Insurance Licenses, since those offer an opportunity for somebody to make a living without being overly physical which is kind of out of my wheelhouse now. There are companies that'll sponsor the testing if you can demonstrate you understand the ins and outs, but it's usually a commission sales job, so no promises. My food stamps got reinstated after a lapse for paperwork, so Karissa and I went shopping last night. We're trying to go low carb because of my diabetes, fingers crossed!
