We are so lucky to have so many wonderful winemakers in our backyard. This weekend we went to visit @end_of_nowhere up in Amador City. We got to taste through their line up and snack out on their patio with the stream running under our feet. What a treat. We strongly recommend you get up there one day soon.
While you’re up there go see our friends at @breakevenbeermakers. They have a charming little taproom with a lovely patio and some killer beers. Keep any eye out for their beer coming to the shop very very soon.

Broc Cellars - Nouveau “This year’s Nouveau is a blend of everything brought into the winery and made (white, rosé and red) from our 2021 Harvest. After each pressing, we captured some juice from each lot into one stainless tank as a combination of free run and pressed juice. Our cellar team named the tank “Funky Juice” -- they put the fun in “Funky” this year and we were happy this wine turned out so delicious it was clearly meant to be our 2021 Nouveau. This wine is a fun, fresh, chillable light red and ready to drink.”

Hammerling Wines - Zardoz Sparkling Nouveau “Each year we like to use our sparkling nouveau as an opportunity to explore an experimental style of wine we might not make under normal circumstances. This year we wanted to try out a quick-to-market style of sparkling red wine that’s both bright and cheery, as well as slightly structured from its time on the skins. This makes it a perfect BBQ or pizza wine. We named it after our favorite John Boorman movie about a futuristic Ireland populated by barbarians and an immortal ruling elite. It’s an absurd movie that doles out heaps of wild fun. A perfect pairing for our carbonic sparkling nouveau.” Carbonic Pet Nat of 45% Gamay, 45% Pinot Meunier, 10% Pinot Noir.
