Dodson's Car Care Center has been in the family for over four generations. We are an Authorized Maryland State Inspection site. To have a Maryland State Inspection, the hours are Monday - Friday 8 A.M. TO 4 P.M. Appointments preferred. Our Automotive Services include Suspension work, Tires, Brakes, Batteries, Computer Diagnostics. We also offer Routine Maintenance, Oil Changes, A/C Service, Tire R

otation, Fluid Exchanges, Winterization/Summerization. We are a member of the Washington, Maryland, Delaware Service Station and Automotive Repair Association (WMDA). Metro Shuttle service available. We are also a proud to participate in the GIANT FOOD GAS REWARDS PROGRAM INC!

MEMORIAL DAY ISN’T VETERANS DAY...PLEASE DON’T SAY 'HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY'

There seems to be a debate over three simple words: Happy Memorial Day. Or maybe the right word is confusion. Are they appropriate? Are they offensive? Are they ignorant? Why could that phrase possibly be any of those things?

Memorial Day observes our fallen – those who have given their lives in service to our country. It is a day to take pause, to honor and remember them. It is a time for their families to grieve and celebrate their lives in a way that’s appropriate for them. Veterans Day observes all who have served; those alive and those who made the ultimate sacrifice because they chose to answer the call to duty for their country. While it’s great to have gratitude every single day (and you should) please remember the difference between the two while we remember why we have the day off.

We're participating in a Neighborhood Yard Sale TODAY, APRIL 20th!! Stream Valley Way in Gaithersburg, Maryland
The sale starts at 8 AM and continues until 2 PM. Look for the doggie balloons on the HWAH mailbox!
We're putting gently used items in the sale and some HWAH merchandise. MOST of what we have will be pet-related but the overall neighborhood sale will be a treasure trove of items ranging from clothes to furniture to collectibles!
All proceeds from our items sold will benefit House with a Heart pets.

New Year’s Day Customs
A common custom on the first of the new year is to reflect and make New Year’s resolutions. A fresh calendar encourages us to fill in the blanks with ambitious home and personal improvement projects. Turn your face to the future with a few tips on how to make good New Year’s resolutions.

There are even some traditional New Year’s foods—many associated with good luck. One Southern American recipe is Good Luck Hoppin’ John. A Scottish tradition is Hogmanay Shortbread.
